I think thats what gets me most? Where the hell did our deposits go? Just what exactly am I booked for? Im booked on a non existant flighthuh.gif May1st was put out online, and booked up fast by the public...now May 8th has 10 seats left? I dont understand where or how a group of 29 people have NO flight, yet Sunquest are offering up other flights to everyone else? Its frustrating. And of course, being on here--I know Im no the only bride looking to get married in May! lol...we're all booking up dates and stuff......Id like to know if I can get a flight--so that I can arrange dets with the resort, ALL over again if need be.

I'm not sure about booking land and air seperately.....it always just seemed easier booking the all inclusive....something we have to check into I guess.
I still feel you have nothing to worry about. Toronto is a big city and lots of flights are departing daily. If they can't put you on the same flight, they may separate you perhaps into smaller groups. You are a big group and they wouldn't want to loose you.
You have to understand that apart from wedding parties, people don't usually book their vacations so early. Most people I know book them 2-5 months in advance. As those booking will start coming in, more planes will be added.

Geez, now I don't know whether to feel calm or nervous. It seems that the dates I am interested in are also of interest by many other brides. Should I book off my wedding date first, or determine flight and accomodations first? I would hate to do one only to find out that it doesn't work with the other.

I totally feel your pain, but sort of in a different area.

We booked our May 5, 2010 wedding more than a year in advance! We booked in February, through a company that specializes in destination weddings with offices close to our home. They do all the bookings for us, but since we booked so far in advance we're asking our guests to pay a lot more money to go, than if we booked now, or even later this year.

We have a few spots reserved on a May 1 flight. I wonder if that's the flight that's causing so many problems for you? I think Dmitri_Markine is right though, Sunquest is a humungous company and Toronto is a humungous city. There should be flights all day to Jamaica.

I hope everything works out okay
SMART SMART SMART!
We booked in February for a May 2010 wedding, and the price for Toronto To Montego Bay IS high from booking so far ahead.

Keep your eye out for good deals and book when you find them. I really wish I did the same thing. This recession is killing us, because we're locked into our prices. It's so cheap to travel now...if only we had just taken advantage of it! BLAST!

Geez, it seems like quite a few of us have had the same problem!

We booked our November 2009 wedding in March 2009 with Sunquest flying from Toronto to Punta Cana. Can you imagine they STILL do not have flight schedules for our flight?! that seems absolutely RIDICULOUS to me! It's only 4.5 months away!!

We also had issues with seat availability-it started with one of our guests calling the agent wanting to book, and him saying the flight was full! Apparently Sunquest books up and then doesn't release any more seats for awhile? So then our TA told us that he might have to book the other half of our group on another tour company, etc. and I totally freaked out!!

Does anyone else wonder sometimes what the heck good these travel agents are!!?? Mine is useless!

I swear, these little bumps in the road might not usually drive me to the brink, but when you are planning a trip with 40 some-odd people, and it's kinnda an imprtant trip...we can get a tad crazy over these mishaps!!

Well... I booked my trip April 2009 for a wedding in January 2010 with Sunquest as well and still don't know the exact date of departure. Now, I am getting worried that there will not be enough seats available for our group of 30 people!! Sure hope that everything goes well for everybody. Hope for the best!!! Is't it suppose to be "stress free" when you decide on a destination wedding?

Goodness! I just booked my wedding for September 2009 with Sunquest. I hope we don't run into any problems. They are the only ones which service our hotel so we had no choice but to go with them. The price we got is great though. I'm happy we waited until closer to the date to book. When I was asking for quotes few months ago they were hundreds more than what we're paying now...we changed our date too though.

So I wasn't worrying until I read this thread......I am booked with Sunquest for April 2010....I had to push back my arrival so that I was arriving early enough for ROR to set up the wedding. so if I have to change flights/dates I may just might not be getting married. I guess we have to put all of our trust and faith in our TA's and Sunquest.

Don't worry!

Things always have a way of working out! April is still 9 months away.

Sunquest flies people down to Jamaica all the time...who knows, by then, there could be an entirely new plane opening up for all BDW brides going to Jamaica in April and May 2010!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
