Etiquette says you can send them out as early as a year in advance - and I agree. The point is to give proper notice to your guests so that they can plan/budget/etc accordingly.

I wish mine went out that early, but we ended up at 9 months out.

I will say that the wedding didn't feel "official" to us until we sent out our save the dates, so that made it really fun and exciting for us.

We are getting married the day after you!! I sent some out just yesterday and a bigger batch went out about a month ago.

Go for it now. People get so busy that they will probably be happy to have the info sooner.

We are talking about sending our invite out before Christmas--have you talked about that part yet?

You can def send them out now. The more time people have to plan the better. Courtney is also getting married in May and she sent hers out. And Amy is getting married July 4, 2008 and she sent her's out as well. I say send them out! I got a SDT two months ago for a wedding in September 28, 2008. And this isn't even a DW! Send it out and start getting excited! smile29.gif

I think you SHOULD send them. The whole point is so that people don't plan another vacation and can save money. It's best to know as soon as possible.

I have not even thought about the Invites... I mean, have not even looked at ordering these yet! lol

I was thinking about sending these in early Jan, right after the Holiday craziness?

I sent him all of your responses... Just to show him that

I AM RIGHT! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
