Welcome/Rehearsal Dinner

Recommended Posts

I was hoping to get a little insight --- my fiance an I are going to host our rehearsal dinner and were looking for ideas. Initially, we had thought to stay within the Hilton as that is where our wedding is... but I don't want to miss out on a gem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are so many great restaurants in Cabo and San Jose! I think there's a thread about it here. But to add a few more, Sunset de Mona Lisa is just a few miles from downtown Cabo. It has great Italian food and you can't beat the view! It's right on the water and it's absolutely gorgeous. Also Mi Casa (they have a few other restaurants they own in Cabo as well and are just as good!). Puerto Vieja is another one and it's right down the road from Sunset de ML. It too has great views and many other ladies on here have had their rehearsal dinners/wedding receptions there. Check out the thread and I think you'll find some great recommendations. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

Congrats!

We are having our Welcome Dinner at Mi Casa which is a sister restaurant to La Panga in San Jose. Mi Casa is in downtown Cabo San Lucas and in my opinion has the most authentic mexican food in Cabo! The decor and ambiance are amazing, and they have trios and mariachis playing through out the restaurant. Good Luck.

Hi! I just got back from Cabo and was searching for a place for our rehearsal dinner too. Since we are inviting all of our guests not just the bridal party we wanted a place that had a great ambiance as well as easy on our pocketbook. Since my family is Italian we decided to go with the italian restaurant on the Marina - Amarone. The looks of the restaurant is gorgeous and with the setting on the marina it is beautiful. The prices are also very reasonable. - $12-16 for most pasta dishes. We are offering an antipasto for the appetizer and a choice of pasta (we are choosing about 5 options). Also, you can bring your own wine with a corkage fee of $200.00pesos which seems worth it if you can got to Costco and get a decent bottle of wine for $10-12 dollars will put each bottle of wine at ~$30-$35 instead of their cheapest bottle of $45. • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
