My first vent!

Floyd Mayweather is a big boxer. We watched him fight live before and it was exciting! Hell- I'm NOT telling my hubby that he's fighting the weekend we plan on going or we will probably end up with expensive tickets!

Email the fighter and ask him to change the date! lol. I live in Vegas so if it makes you feel better, it is usually crowded on the weekends. It really doesn't matter what is going on that night. If you need any local info just let me know. i would be glad to help. Good luck with the rest of your planning, dont go brusie the other rib on that guy wink.gif

At least you found out early and not last minute so now you can just plan accordingly. Just to reiterate what GinalynL said, can you or have you blocked rooms at the Hotel? Even if they only block for a few weeks at least it will give your guests a chance to reserve.

We didn't block rooms because the Harrah's chain of hotels makes you put down a deposit up front and we definately did not want to do that. We have a discount code that guests can use but I've found better rates just looking for other promo codes online.

I'm a local too, that's why I'm worried. I was here for the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight and the regular weekend traffic was at least double. The Flamingo and Mandalay Bay aren't that close to one another. It may seem like it on a map, but in weekend traffic, it can take half an hour.

Grrrr... nothing I can do about it but hope people get their things booked.

Oh no! That has to be every Vegas brides' worst nightmare! Hopefully the room rates don't increase substantially. RE: transportation - why not take the monorail from Flamingo to MGM and then take the tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, a bit of a pain in the bum but it could make for some great photos!

I hope everything works out for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
