Hey SM8022!

My wedding is exactly 3 weeks from tomorrow! When is yours?

My onsite wedding coordinater is Elizabeth....She seems very nice so far....I have set up my meeting with her for 6/18 the day i arrive....

As fas as hair and makeup, i am using Fernando Fuentes from the Makeup Pros...He and his team are amazing!

I will be using my spa hair and makeup that is included in my package on another day....

Which coordinator did you read bad reviews on? who is your WC?

Good luck with everything! Maybe i'll see you there!

Hello fellow Royal brides:)

Most of your weddings are coming up so soon!! We have a while to go.. Less than 11 months to go.. I heard many brides have brought in an outside photographer and avoided the vendor fee.. I would love if someone can offer some suggestions on how this was done!?

Also, how did you brides handle travel accommodations for guests? We are not sure if we should get a travel agent, book through the hotel and take advantage of the discount wedding rate for the rooms,  or use EXPEDIA (or other travel site).. What did you do?!

We're getting married at The Royal Cancun May 21, 2012. We have stayed at The Royal before so I can vouch for the fact that everything there is amazing! We chose the Classic wedding package and the beach for the ceremony. We are having an early afternoon ceremony at 2:00 pm and I have Pelicanos tentatively booked for a semi-private reception "dinner" at 3:30. Does anyone have any comments or recommendations as far as which restaurant would be best? We have a small party (only 20). I haven't booked a reception venue and not sure if I will... I was thinking we could just go over to one of the bars or the Gran Caribe or even into town if we want to go dancing later. I haven't booked a photographer yet and wasn't impressed with what I saw from the resort photgrapher...

Anyhow, I will keep checking this forum and I would love to hear about all your experiences and any suggestions or feedback!

We did our semi-private reception at Maria Marie and it was really nice. There's a small area to the right when you walk in that's partly walled off from the rest of the diners and they put us there and it felt very private. I have better pictures somewhere but you can kind of see the set-up here http://www.flickr.com/photos/callamonster/5215351323/in/set-72157625487859186/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
