Are you paying for your bridesmaids dresses?

Recommended Posts

Here's a thought.

Since I'm paying for my bridesmaid's dresses, and we all know that since I'm picking the style and the color there's a high probability that my bridesmaids will NEVER wear the dress again, I may consider consigning them all as a set after the wedding. Maybe I'll get some money back. Who knows. If the bridesmaids really like them, they can keep them, but I'm pretty sure they won't care if I want to consign them.

What do you guys think?

Have you thought about convertible dress?  After they tried on both Two Birds and Butter by Nadia they chose the latter to which I paid for.  I narrowed down those two designers and they picked from there.  These dresses as many (Idelli etc..) can be worn over and over again with no need for alterations.  I didn't want the jersey material so this is why I went with the two above.  That way they can truly get some use out of the dresses.

Well can I be one of your bridesmaids?  Idelli.com and other sites like that depending on what you are looking for.  Shoes wow: endless.com, shoes.com, zappos.com, dsw.com.  Jewelry not sure what you are looking for but if you are going for custom and unique try Red-i by Chelsea she is on this site.

I don't find it's necessary to go to bridal stores to find bridesmaids dresses, especially for destination weddings!   I ended up finding my bridesmaids dresses on sale for $30 dollars each at a regular womens clothing store in the mall.  I wasn't planning on originally paying for the dresses, but they were so inexpensive so why not!  The girls will have to pay for their own alterations if need be anyways.

In my opinion, if you are making the bridesmaids pay for the dresses, make sure it's something they can wear again!  The dresses I found are so cute and "beachy", and it will look great on all of them... and for 30 bucks, its amazing!  They aren't the "traditonal" bridesmaids dresses, but I like that about them!  That shiny, thick, all-one-color bridesmaids dresses is not at all my style.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
