Hi all! My name is Mandy, as stated above :) My username "The Mandy in Chandy" is to represent our "couple nickname" which is Chandy- because my fiance's name is Chad Cha(d Ma)ndy = Chandy...a mututal friend dubbed us that. lol

Chad and I met on YouTube while we were making weight loss videos about our journeys to lose weight. I pursued him and finally he agreed to meet me in person. Chad is 24, I'm 28, he lives in KY, I live in SC. We had our first date at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC- VERY romantic! It was unforgettable! Over the next several months I would travel every 4-5 weeks to KY to see him. It was hard for him to come here since he is still in college. He finally got to come to SC over winter break and well, my hometown must have made quite an impression on him because when I visited him for Valentine's Day he proposed. cheesy.gif

If you care to see any of our gooey love-story videos let me know and I'll post the link. I'm not sure what the policy is on link posting yet so i'll have to look that up first.

Anyway so just a few weeks shy of a year after meeting each other we are ready to start our new lives together.

We are planning a beach wedding in the summer of 2010. Our original date was 6/5/10 but someone got the venue I wanted by calling in at MIDNIGHT. I thought I'd be safe waiting til normal business hours at called at 8 am - but nooo midnight is what you gotta do to get that place. So hopefully in July I can call at midnight and reserve the 10th for next year. If not, I have no clue what I am going to do. That venue was FREE.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing this crazy planning process with you all!

Thanks for letting me in :)

Mandy

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
