Electronic Invitations? Feedback Please?

I would have done this had I not had so many people who are internet challenged. hehe. Guess we are left to spend the money for STD's!

Great idea...I am thinking on doing the electronic invitations as well! It saves a lot of $$ as well faster responses I would think.

We used Pingg.com too and it was great and free.  For just over a dollar you can send a "postcard" version of your evite in the mail (for the electronically challenged)  Because our wedding was so close (Nov 2010) we had a short booking window to book for our group discount so we didn't have time to send paper invites.  We called everyone to tell them we were sending the evite and within  a week and a half we has RSVP for all 40 people!

I had the same question about seding std's via email...but thought about sending std's thru the mail with the wedding website included for mor info.

If the idea of doing electronic STD/invites is true to who you are, then I would say go for it, but I would still keep in mind those few people that don't have the technology or are "old school".  Maybe you can make some invitations for those folks using eco-friendly materials?

 

Also, we did paperless RSVPs (had people either phone or e-mail) and that worked well.  I know I've completely forgotten to mail RSVPs to other people's weddings, and I would've loved an e-mail option!  Our families and friends were very supportive of the paperless RSVP idea....
