So were are visiting Playa del carmen in a few months to check everything out and to make a final decision on a location. We have 3 hotels that we really love. Should we try and spend a night at each to get a feel for the hotel experience, or is a property visit enough to get the idea? Do most of the hotels have a min stay requirment?

Does anyone have experience with this?

I think many all inclusives have a minimum stay - not 100% sure though.

I personally think you can still get the feel/experience without actually sleeping there. You can ask them to show you an empty room at the hotels you decide not to stay at, but I would stay at your top contender if there is on.

      Hope that helps!

Hi, we are also doing a site visit in Novemeber and staying at La Tortuga near 5th ave. I also think you can get a feel for a place by just seeing it. We are planning to look at the rooms while we do our site visits. I also think it is a good idea to check a place out during the day but also at night depending on your venue. One of the places we are looking at is the Blue Parrot but it has the beach club right next door which turns into a night club. I want to see if the music would be an issue during our reception. You can also see how private a location may be with out having to stay there. Good luck! let us know how your site visit goes.

How were your site visits? I am looking at Blue Parrot for our reception and rooms at Playa Palms nearby. Let me know if you have any feedback. We are hoping to go on our site visit next month.
