Hi,
I am seriously considering to have my wedding at the Grand Mayan but still looking other options.
We are visiting the place in August and will decide!
Thanks.

Hey girls, I am not a MP/GM bride but I have spent one week at the MP and two weeks at the GM -- the most recent being in late June 09 after I got married. rolleyes.gif

The grounds are just beautiful and I have no doubt it is a beautiful place to have a wedding!! I can't wait to see all the pics you ladies end up with wink.gif

The one thing I will say is that while the MP and GM essentially share the same grounds -- MP guests are not allowed to use two main pools that are the Grand Mayan side, and these pools are absolutely AMAZING!!! They differentiate who is staying at each resort by the color of bracelet worn.

Also, while both resorts have very nice rooms the GM is a lot newer and nicer. In 2006 we stayed at the MP and thought the rooms were spacious and great. In 2008 DH and I stayed at the GM and noticed the rooms were a bit nicer. But this last time in June we stayed at the GM again and had some family staying at the MP and noticed a big difference in the quality and newness of the accommodations. So that is definitely something to think about if you are undecided as to which branch to make reservations at.

But as a whole both are very nice resorts that share most of the same grounds and would offer a spectacular venue for a wedding. If you have any other questions -- please feel free to ask! I also have pictures of the grounds if you'd like to see. Good luck to all hug2.gif

Any possible way you could send that price list to me or post it? We're leaving for our site visit in one week and I'm still trying to find a couple more places to check out while we're there.

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
