Cabo Review..

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies,

We just got back from Cabo. We went with 6 of our friends to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. I wanted to let you ladies know that we had a wonderful time, and you won't be disappointed with getting married in Cabo. We stayed a private villa in Costa Azul called Casa Calle, so if anyone is looking for a villa to get married at or stay, feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions. We visited Cabo Wabo, Giggling Marlin, ate at the Office for lunch as well as Senor Sweets. Two of the nights we ate at 2 great restaurants. On our anniversary, my husband and I went to Sunset da MonaLisa. It was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. If anyone is looking for a great place to have a wedding reception or maybe a rehearsal dinner, I highly recommend having it here. The second restaurant we went to was with 3 other couples who came to Cabo with us was called Morgan's. It's located in San Jose del Cabo. I hadn't really heard of it before, but it was delicious and had a nice romantic atmosphere upstairs. We also did 2 different activities with a company called JT's Watersports. We went parasailing and also did the private charter. The private charter was a great 4 hours, and I think it would be a lot of fun if you are looking to do something with friends and family. Some of our friends went on the pacific side and did ATV's and had lots of fun with them. We also went on the Costa Azul Canopy Tour and Tequila Tasting. My friends really enjoyed it, I though it was alright, but maybe it was because I was a bit hungover, lol. My husband and I went scuba diving at Pelican Rock, and had a good dive. The visibility wasn't as good as the Caribbean, but we say a lot more different kinds of fish, which was cool. That's about it for now, that I can remember. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away. Good luck with your planning.

Thanks for the list of restaurants/bars. I am doing a site visit in July and will probably go to a few clubs and restaurants during that time to check out the scene so I can tell my guests where to go. I've heard alot of good reveiws ont this forum about Sunset da MonaLisa. I'll have to check it out when I am there. Thanks for the info!!

You're back! Glad to hear you had a good time and I'm happy Sunset worked out for you (I was worried recommending it to you since we hadn't eaten there!). We finally decided on location and date--Sunset it is!! If you have time, shoot me an email--I'd love to get more details from you. Welcome back and congrats on hitting that 1 year mark! Lisa

Hi CutieCupid15,

My name is Jessica. My fiance and I are getting married at Sunset da Mona Lisa. Can I ask you about the menu. You mentioned that the food was delicious also. What did you have? We have never eaten there and we would like recommendations that we can in turn recommend to our guests.

Thanks much!

Jessica

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
