Anyone know if they send you another coupon for a free photobook if you don't use it by the date? I'm trying to put it together by Wednesday, but might not get it done before the coupon expires.

our families are apparently technology-challenged, because only a handful have been able to "figure out" how to use the share site. i keep getting emails saying, "i can't figure that out so i'm just gonna post them on facebook." well that's nice and all, but the problem with that is facebook compresses them so no one will be able to order prints from those!

and here i thought shutterfly was so simple and straightforward. i just don't get what their problem is! can't teach old dogs new tricks i suppose.

ayita, your photos are GORGEOUS ... everything is so bright, colorful, and beautiful that it almost looks faked, LOL! congrats again!

I love Shutterfly too, Ayita and switched to them for the same reason because of KodakGallery!!!

I used them to make my BD book; 12x12 hardcover, I received it today and it is amazing quality. So much better than I thought it would be... I also plan on making a photoshare site for the wedding pictures with my guests!

I just recently posted this..."Best photoshare website for Canadian brides"...so would you say that Shutterfly is an option?

I am thoroughly impressed with shutterfly (and their link to Target) but would only work if we were all US residents because we don't have Target here in Canada.

I am looking for something along the same lines where people don't have to sign up for an account...they just use a username and password that we give to them.

I would also like for people to be able to have the option of where they want to have their pictures printed. I know that with some websites, you have to order prints from that website...but I can foresee problems with some of our guests giving out their credit card numbers...and then there is the exchange rate.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I think Amarillis is better placed than me on the Canadian-specific questions (FX rate etc), but definitely shutterfly does not require you to have a username, unless you chose to protect your site and require it, or unless your viewers want to order prints.

You can order prints from shutterfly, but you can also download the pics onto a USB key. The only minus is that they don't have (yet ?) a bulk download option (I think it's on purpose so that you order prints from them). So you have to open each pic to download it, it can go a bit slow.

Oh wow...I didn't realize that!! That is perfect...even if it is a bit time consuming. I just didn't want everyone to HAVE to order them through the US website (on their credit cards) so downloading pictures to a USB would be an awesome option!! Thank you!!

Yeppp!!! I would definately endorse shutterfly.

A few tidbits on the process ---

1. When I ordered the BD book, the customs tag had the project valued at only $20 -- and it was produced in the US... thus no duty (actual price paid for project was around $60US, so, plus exchange)

2. when I ordered the 8 photobooks for parents/wedding party/us, i placed each order individually, instead of having them bundled together, all books came in valued at $20 -- and it was produced in the US... thus no duty (actual price paid for project was around $90US, so, plus exchange)

3. I purchased coupon codes for shutterfly from an EBAY seller. for @$20 I bought 7 codes that saved me $20 on each project, but the catch was you could only use one code at a time, thus... 7 different orders.. that in the end as per #2, saved me the duty!

The quality of thier photo books is fantastic and I highly recommend them...

PS> I still have some coupon codes that I won't be using if anyone is interested.

I'll post the link!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
