I didn't but that's kind of weird about her not giving you the name of the photog? You should be able to access that info as a client. I wonder what the reason is!! Good luck! Do you have the option of bring your own photograher?

Have you actually put a deposit down with them? When we were looking into St. Thomas as a location, we contacted about 10 different wedding planners and all of them wanted some type of deposit to secure the wedding date (usually low, like between $200-500) before they would give an actual quote for what we wanted (we were going to customize everything- like cocktail reception on a yacht and dinner reception at Havana Blue, etc...). I'm guessing that if you're just in contact with them and haven't put a deposit down with them, that this is the reason why. They usually are concerned that the bride will use the vender list and not contract them as the planner...

That makes sense! I was wondering what the reason could be!

Good thing I have not put down a deposit down. My Dad calls me today on my way home from work and would like me to move the wedding date up a few months!!!! OMG I am freaking out! My little brother plays professional baseball, and is only home for 4 months out of the year! He just got word that he will have to report back to training in early February!!!! My wedding date is February 2. Hopefully I can change everything, condo dates and reception date for back home, and the church, because we are Catholic and we have to get the marriage blessed by a preist! WOW! I have some work to do! smile105.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
