mayan palace, vallarta palace or dreams???

Recommended Posts

we originally looked into getting married at dreams, but since we are not a traditional couple, they were not willing to host our service on their property.

Eeew that is so rude. I am personally offended by that. I can't believe they wouldn't let you hold your wedding there. I wasn't aware of resorts having morality policies! I'm glad you and your girlfriend found a wonderful place to have your wedding that will host the perfect wedding for you both.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just got this letter from Mariana at Dreams (took her about 3 days to respond, not too bad). I think this is just one of those letters where you fill in the person's name tho, because in my original email to her I had already acknowledged that I knew Gabriela was the new WC, and I only said we were *considering/thinking about* having our wedding there. She sent me several attachments with it as well.

Dear Jaime:

First of all I would like to thank you for choosing Dreams Puerto Vallarta to celebrate this important event, you could be sure that we will do our best to exceed your expectations and make this experience a dream.

I would like to inform you that Gabriela will be the new wedding coordinator since I have been promoted, at the moment she is not here yet but I will love to help you in the mean time with all your questions on doubts.

Please find attached some information that might be helpful, if you should require further assistance do not hesitate in contacting me, will be a pleasure to help you.

Best Regards

Marilú Arellano Fuentes Q.

yay, Edna!!! You'll be getting married 2 months before me at the Mayan!! Have you decided where you and your guests will stay?? Hans and I are planning on staying next door at Melia since its an AI, but we're not too excited with the hotel. We may honeymoon at the Grand Velas Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, but we haven't decided yet.

I'm getting married at Dreams and haven't had the slow response from the WC that others seem to have had. Each time I've sent an email I've had a response within a day. Hopefully the new WC will be better for anyone who's had problems and is getting married there!

I know Amy but we havent decide that yet! and you are right about the Melia its an all inclusive but not as good as others in the area.

The facilities are in good shape but for me the food and the beverages were not like the best... are just OK

Have you checked on the Marriot Casamagna? I sent them an email regarding rate groups but never got answer.

Velas Vallarta? did you checked that? its really close too....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
