freaking out

Recommended Posts

Lisa - Hey no worries! I hardly did any planning for my wedding at all, I pretty much let the resort take care of everything except for the photography (I hired a photographer rather than using the resort's since I wasn't happy with the quality of their work). I agree, it is weird knowing that you're going to be married in six months and you have next to nothing to worry about as far as planning goes but it all works out in the end! :)

Lisa, just sit back and relax alittle for now. I felt the same before, also. We are keeping it very simple and pretty much sticking with the package. Sometimes this seems more stressful than planning something big because it seems like your missing something! Right? lol

Just wait patiently and your WC will contact you 2 months or so prior. It seems like not enough time, but it is. Trust us. With the exchange of just 2-3 emails, I have planned and chosen pretty much all our ceremony need. The WC at these resorts have everything down to the T, so no worries.

Take your mind off of things and chose your songs, accessories, and clothing, etc... You're really ahead of things now. We just got FI's outfit last week or so! I'm starting to search BDW for centerpiece ideas, as i'm planning on making and bringing our own, as well as table runners, chair sashes, sand ceremony photoframe/verse to read, and ceremony song CD, etc....

Search the "what I would have done different" postings and see if there's something you haven't thought of.

Happy Planning!

Totally normal to freak out, but I realized there wasnt much to do untill i hit the 2 month mark because so much you cant do without knowing your final guest list, ect. Just take this time and relax because next thing you know it will be 2 months to go and it will be wedding non stop!!!

I know exactly how you feel...I don't know if I'm coming or going...and it really just depends on the day!! One day everything is under control...and the next day I freak out ***LOL***

I can say one thing for sure...I've taken on so much more than I ever expected with a DW because I keep reading about all of these really cool DIY projects and OOT bag finds...that I just can't resist. I love this website...but I really need to stop reading!!! Too many ideas and sometimes I feel like I'm losing focus of things that need to be a priority.

Phew...feels so much better to let it out...doesn't it?!?! smile03.gif

At this point, no AHR because we're unsure of where we'll be so I don't even need to stress about that! lol As for the thoughts, I have the same ones. I keep buying clothes for the trip because I like them although I know if i'm patient, they'll go on sale!

I do have at least one, but it'll take like 1/2 hour! lol I might come up with more, we'll see! :)

Oh I had the same thing happen! All along when we were planning our wedding people would ask how it was going and I would say that I thought everything was done until we actually leave for the wedding. The crazy looks I would get started making me so paranoid! Then I started looking around here at all the details other people planned and I totally freaked out. I can honestly say now, looking back, that it was a waste of energy. It sounds like your wedding is similar to how mine was...I didn't have to plan the cake, flowers, decorations, etc. so really you just have to get yourself ready for a vacation! Everything else will get taken care of. That's why you do a destination wedding in the first place :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
