Amy everything looks amazing! You are such a pretty bride. I really loved the white halter dress that you were wearing in some of your pics, it is so pretty. And I really love the pic of your hubby and his friends with the cigars, such a cute guys pic. I'm glad everything went well, it looked and sounds like you had so much fun. Congratulations again to the new Mrs! smile159.gifsmile159.gifsmile159.gif

You were a beautiful bride!

I am glad you had a chance to share your wedding details with us as I am a Dreams Cancun bride too.

How was the cake? Did you get a picture?

Good luck with your move!
The cake was delicious! It was very light and moist. It isn't like most chocolate cakes here in the states (not as rich) but it was still good. I am a big dessert person so the cake was really important to me. I had a two tier chocolate cake with chocolate frosting on the inside. The outside had pink frosting with white lilies. Daniella even brought me an extra lily to put in my hair! Sorry, I dont have any close-up pictures of the cake (still waiting for pics from guests).

Amy..you looked great!! Thanks so much for posting all the details!

Quick question.....how was your actual dinners and what did you pick. We are in the process of picking our menu and I was wondering if anything was really good (or really bad). Also...for seating arrangements..how did that work? Did you have where you wanted everybody and they put the place cards out? We are having ~80 people and i want to make our place cards with the table numbers on them before we go...but I have no idea how they will know who should sit where (obviously family closer tables to us, etc).

We are also up to 80+ confirmed guests with 4 months to go! I never thought we'd get such a great turnout. I'm honestly starting to worry that we'll go over 100...but I think we'll be okay. Anyway, are you planning on using the 8-person round tables? If so, just figure you'll need 10 tables. Make your seating arrangments and placecards before you leave. Then just arrange the table #s at the reception. i.e. put your #1 wherever you'd like all the people with #1 placecards to sit, etc.
On another note...don't you think we should get free accommodations or something since we are bringing so many people to the resort?!?!? :)

I can't believe you girls have soooo many people coming, thats great!!

I think we're going to end around 16-18, which I think will be perfect for us.

I was wondering about the food too!!

We chose the surf & turf option on the gold menu, but I'm nervous, I hope it doesn't suck!! Oh well, I guess if the food sucks there is always room service later on, lol!

we're not doing a salad, because FI is scared, I'm a little scared too, we're doing the tortilla soup, the tiramisu

umm, I think thats it, I can't remember what the appetizers are.

We are also going with the "Gold" meal option. We loved all the food we had while we were there. I'm sure it will be great! Pretty soon our tickers are going to say "3 months....." I think I'm going to have a panic attack!!! Five more days of school, and then I'll have the summer to really get organized.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
