I got half my dress today!!

Ok girls ill start at the beginning here i worked last nite with Paul at the local caberat club to earn money for our wedding.I get up late 10 ish and am reading the local paper and drinking tea when my eldest son comes in huffin and puffing cos the trains arnt running from our house to London as hes speaking i turn the page and see an advert for a wedding dress sale in the town in which ryan needs dropping.I quuickly shower with no time to do my hair drop him at the station and make my way to the fair.

Once inside i quickly spot three basques hanging from the wall which no one else seems to be paying any attention to.I ask how much they are and the young girl tells me £250 BUT they retail for £2,500 each that there llana.Ihave heard of the nameand know they are incredibly expensive.Iask to try one on and then she gets me MY one.I feel a million dollors even though i am very much overweight(thyroid) at the mo.

Now girls i know your asking but why is she selling them so cheap,well she has deceided not to stock them anymore because they are so expensive what with the current economic climate and they are grubby.!!!!

I walk away as im unsure of how i can get it clean as its covered in swarskoi?sp crystals.I tried on another gown but find myself back at the stall

She tells me she bought a LLana from the shop she now owns and paid £3,500 for just the top she appreciates that i could spot the quality and explained that all her dresses were washed at 30 degrees yesterday in the machine including a silk one !!!!She give me some advise and i make the purchase much to Pauls surprize when i ring him for his credit card details!!!

Idrive home happy and teary and show my son who tells me mum theres no way you can wash that.

I pack it away and take it to a good friend whos so houseproud id eat my dinner off of her bathroonm floor and ask her for help

Within seconds weve decided its going in the bath ,warm water and some liquid persil and a toothbrush and she sets to work.Its now hanging on her line twinkling in the sun all i need is a new lace and 3 of the metal hooks you thread the lace through need replacing and its perfect.Ive left my friend capturing piccies off it and laughing that shes responsible for it whilst its drying and what would we do if next doors dog gets in and snatches it off the line.wed be picking the crystals from its teeth to replace !!!

Her neigbour dosent have a dog so im quite safe.Off course ill post piccies when i have it back and now i can keep a look out for the skirt part which was the part i was most concerned about being that ive been married before and getting married in Hawaii on the beach.

Any idea where you can track down the skirt? Does it have to be the one specifically designed for the dress?

oh thankyou girls at the moment its still drying so i dont have the pictures that we all love.With the skirt part i can choose anything fishtail,tulle etc this was the part i knew i would not find easy.So with a long way to go i have time at the moment im thinking tulle with some wire that gives volume and different shapes but i dunno i have time.I love a bargain and will post the piccs as soon as i can xx
