I got jealous when I saw the April 2010 thread and thought I would start one for our month as well. I didnt see one but if there is one I apologize for the duplicate. Woot woot for May '10!!!

 

My date is May 17, 2010 which is a Monday...I know weird!

 

Is there anyone else out there or am I a lone soldier?

Hi Blana - no, you aren't the only one!! My date is May 5th, 2010 in Negril Jamaica. Like you, my date falls during the week - mine is a Wednesday. I've found a lot of Jamaica brides on here, but not very many that are having their DW at Beaches. RIU seems to be one of the more popular choices for JA.

Planning is going pretty well I think - reservations made, I just finished addressing the first round of STD's today and will mail them on my way to work tomorrow. Web site is done and included on the STD's. Next major thing on my list is the photographer, and then my dress. And after spending hours and hours on this site over the weekend I think I have some great ideas for flowers, OOT bags, and decorations as well - but I'll get to those later :)

How's your planning? And I'm guessing the complaints were about not wanting to travel so far? I heard the same complaints but we compromised by having a big party when we get back. So where did you change your destination to?

Hi everyone! It is my plan to have a May 2010 wedding! I have yet to book a place but am thinking somewhere near Cancun. Can I ask how big your groups are that are coming? Ensuring that the guests have a great time is extremely important to me (which is why I think I can't decide). haha

Well my intention was only to have about a dozen or so people. I was thinking both sets of parents, our siblings and their spouses and maybe a couple of close friends. However my FMIL felt differently and went ahead and verbally invited close to 30 people before I could even get my STD's mailed. So now if I don't invite those people I look like I'm snubbing them. UGGHHHHH!! So I'm trying not to think about it. So much for something intimate!!

Heya Mmontgo,

I was so super excited to find out (yesterday) that there will be a new Dreams Riviera Cancun!!! I love Dreams Cancun but don't want to be in Cancun, and I love Tulum but I am not totally in love with Dreams Tulum... so Dreams Riviera Cancun seems like a wonderful choice if I decide to get married in the Mayan Riv iera instead of Cabos.

Do you have any new information/pictures about the wedding set ups? I would *love* to know if they have a dedicated wedding gazebo and what it looks like... and what the beach is like as well.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
