Yay!! Im not by my lonesome!!

Meli122: We decided on Galveston kinda by default. Not that it isnt gorgeous it just wasnt our true idea. Originally, in our wildest dreams we wanted to go to Hawaii but found out that it is wayy more expensive than we thought it would be soo we got all excited and paid our deposit and picked Sandals Negril which doesn't allow kiddos. We wanted it that way even though we have a 1 yr. old b/c we wanted a no mess wedding and we couldn't even think of paying the crazy fee for our daughter since she would be 2 by then BUT FI's father decided that if FI's stepbrother couldn't come (he is 11) then they wouldn't be there AND they wouldn't help us pay for anything so....after going round and round with family and them contradicting themselves on saying.."Do what you want, its your day!" we decided to look stateside. We looked to Galveston b/c in our opinion it has the nicest beach with the least drive and least tourists. My mom and I took a trip down there with my daughter for the weekend stopped in at several vacation rentails and found a home right on the beach about 10mins from town that is big enough for our 2 immediate families and had space for a wedding there. And there ya have it! We will be having a wedding on the beach then will walk up to the house for a nautical themed reception. It worked out in the end but I still wish we could go out of the states somehow.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
