KarlaV's Westin Los Cabos Wedding Review

Recommended Posts

Karla amazing review! I found it very interesting that you didn't use flowers. I can't wait to see pics of what that looks like. The Westin and the One & Only sound amazing. I feel like leaving tomorrow. LOL. I am sooooooo glad that the pashminas were a hit! Its always nerve racking to buy something for someone and not know whether they are going to like it or not. But luckily your guests got use out of them. Juan better hurry up with the pics!

Also... You missed an appointment with Juan?! haha, too cute. Like, was it the day of that you missed the appointment?!?

Since I got the pashminas from Glenda, I had no problems. I got turquoise pashminas I ended up having to buy extra pashminas from a different source because I did not have enough. So they did not match the rest. But it was no biggy.

All of the ladies used the pashminas during the reception. And I've seen a lot of my friends after the wedding and they've used them. It was such an appropriate gift because I have a ton of pashminas that everyone knows I use all the time.

Question regarding your reception decor. You said you brought allot of candles with you.. did you need to rent holders? That's where I'm finding my centerpiece expense to be.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time!

The votives already had glass holders that came with them, so they were not a problem. I had them all over the tables and steps and around the border of the pool. They were really nice. I wish I would have brought more. But, I thought 300 would be plenty...wrong. I guess you can never have too many.

I brought mirror glass holders to set the pillar candles on. But what I really needed was a glass hurricane. The pillars kept blowing out. But honestly, it was a minor problem. I dont think people payed too much attention. I would have just not brought these. But they looked nice on the table!

Great review your wedding sounds like heaven. The whole event sounds like a dream. I think your costs were unbelievably low for a wedding of 100 and three spectacular events. I am sure your friends and family will use your wedding as the bar that all weddings are set by. Gonna be kinda hard for anyone to top that. Kudo's to you!!smile159.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
