After reading all of these posts, I wonder how I missed this one!

In order of occurance:

1. While getting ready I gave my sister and best friend (bridesmaids) their little blue Tiffany's bags - they were flabbergasted, and my BFF's face in the pictures is exactly as I remember

2. Laughing with my parents while waiting to go down the aisle, and double double double checking that my dad didn't have cigarettes in his front shirt pocket -- he threatened he'd smoke during the ceremony... really, he is a funny guy -- at the time though I was freakin.

3. Chad offered to spit on my hand when the ring wouldn't go on. I almost snorted from laughter

4. Chad almost took out our photographer during our shell wish ceremony after the wedding, he whipped the seashell directly at her.

5. Chad's nephew called me Auntie Amy for the first time.

oh man.. I could go on forever.

Ahhh, I love this thread!! You ladies have me in tears right now! Here are my most memorable moments:

1) As the ceremony was about to start, my dad and I walked out of the hotel to the courtyard and I saw all the hotel guests looking at me and cheering. They made me so nervous because they were all staring at me, I just started crying and wanted to see my DH to feel better.

2) DH didn't look at me walking down the aisle. He saw me for the first time when I stood next to him and he said "wow" and became teary-eyed. I was surprised because I'm the emotional one and I didn't even cry at that moment, but it was the sweetest thing to see his reaction (now I'm crying just writing about it)!

3) When ceremony was over, the hotel guests all started clapping and yelling from their rooms or from the other side of the pool. It was so loud as we walked down the aisle for the first time and husband and wife! We always joke around and say even though we thought we only had 40 guests at our wedding, it was actually 200!

I have two cute memories from my TTD:

1) I changed in to my dress when I got to the location and hubby was the one trying to close all the buttons on my dress. It was so funny because he had no clue what he was doing and it took him forever; we have a really cute pic of him doing that too!

2) I almost passed out during our TTD because I was so sick. When I started to see only white and was super dizzy, my hubby picked me up and told me it would all be ok. There was this warm fuzzy feeling at that moment that came over me because I knew he wouldn't let anything bad happen to me.

Wow, I'm reading this thread on the couch with DH next to me and he asked me why I was tearing up! This is a great thread! I have so many memories, here are a few of mine:

1. I held back tears when I walked down the aisle with my dad so I thought that I'd be able to make it throughout the ceremony without crying. When it became time to say the vows I just started balling my eyes out. I remember glancing at our guests and saw that most of them were crying along with me.

2. The way DH looked at me throughout the night.

3. My dad's toast during the reception. He said he started writing it when I got engaged. We laughed and cried at the same time.

4. When DH fed me cake twice. We were nice and fed each other with forks so it wasn't messy. After that DH grabbed another piece with his hand and smashed it in my face. I got him back though!

5. Walking around the resort the next day and having random resort guests come up to me and tell me how beautiful I was!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
