Getting Married in Puerto Vallarta!!

Recommended Posts

Hi there, my name is Monika and I'm getting married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, January 23, 2010! We're so excited!!

I just contracted with my planners, EM Vallarta and they've been great! My friend used them when she got married in Puerto Vallarta last November and her wedding was incredible from start to finish!! It was like a dream.... I hope ours is just as fabulous! We're doing a tasting with them in July...can't wait!

Well anyway, we are at the location choosing stage...has anyone used a villa there that they just absolutely loved!! We've been considering Casa Guillermo in Conchas Chinas or going way out to Sayulita to Casa Mis Amores... has anyone used either of these 2 villashuh.gif

Thanks for any help or advice you may have.....

I did a villa wedding at Villa Meditereanno and it was the event of the century my guests were blown away. It was very private and offered everything you could have imagined.

Another great villa is Celeste, Casa Carol Ann and Kalista

Happy Planning.... Zac is great I met him last year.

Thanks KLila! So great to hear your wedding was fabulous!! I'll have to take a look at Villa Mediterraneo.

I saw Celeste on line and did a little research and it's not really the style I'm looking for... I'll definitely check out the others you mentioned.

Zac is great! I think EM does a fabulous job! They definitely weren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I don't trust the things that seem too cheap anyway and I certainly don't want to cheap out on my wedding, though my "husband to be" may have other ideas...hehehe. I just loved that they do everything!! I so do not want to be running around for alcohol or flower arrangements the day of! I know I'll be way too nervous and stressy...or I'll be hangin' by the pool sipping mimosas...hehehe...could go either way!!

My planner will be Barbara once I choose my venue...she did some fabulous things at my friends wedding!!! She had monogrammed linen cocktail napkins made for them and these locally crafted favour boxes customized with different love poems that Anne and Wes (my friends) chose embossed on them, gorgeous heavy ivory brocade tablecloths and flowers to die for...oh...I'm just so excited I can't wait!! I'm considering a church wedding.... do you know anything about how it works down there....they tell me the church can be quite something to deal with?

Do you have photos from your wedding? I'd love to see them!!

Welcome Roovian! I am from Toronto too and getting married only 3 days after you in Puerto Vallarta on January 26th! Getting away too from the cold eh? :)

I checked out a ton of villas before chosing one ... I decided on Casa China Blanca in Punta Mita..it's all white, with a pretty gazebo to get married in, with water running thru the marble floors, its pretty modern..but I intend to do my post wedding photo session (Trash the dress) in older vallarta to get a mix of both. Our guests are going to stay at Dreams Villamagna in Nuevo Vallarta. Some other great villas are Villa Medeterreano in Conchas Chinas (as Klila suggested), Casa Guillermo, Casa Kalista, Casa Salamandra (but that one is crazy expensive) and there are a few others depending on the size of your wedding. Your options are broader if you decide to stay at one for a few days instead of doing an event only. I am using Dazzling Details as my WC and they are fabulous...i have also heard good things about EM Vallarta. Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
