Congrats Ladies,

I myself and also getting married (Oct 15th 2010) at the Beaches Resort in T&C and I am so excited.

I too Meagan am also using Tropical Imaging and will be selecting Illeana as my photographer as I was also blown away by their pictures. Unlike you I have choosen to do the pictures after the ceremony and I am very fearful that I will not be able to really enjoy my ceremony as I will be keeping track of time to ensure that we are not late for our photos. Does anyone know how long the ceremony usually takes?

Also, I am thinking at this point that it will be just the two of us with our kids so I will not need any of the Bailey packages, but I am wrecking my brain to find ways to make the ceremony memorable and special without turning this i into a costly wedding for two adults. So for now I have the sand cermony on my tentative program.

I visited Beaches T&C back in 2005 and absoluted love the resort and I can not think of a better island to get married on.

Momx2-

hey yes we we have chosen to do the pictures before because there just wont be enough time to gather everyone, leave the resort, take pictures and be back in time for our reception. So we are doing pictures for 3-4 hours in the midmorning, come back around 3pm freshen up and get married at 4pm, reception @5pm I believe!

Is it just you, your FI, and your two children going? I think the reception they include will be perfect for you guys!! I think you are ok with not making it costly. Its all included. I believe the ceremony lasts 20-30 mins. And I am doing the sand ceremony as well!!

Cant wait!!! Hope to hear from you soon. I love knowing other people are getting married there. Our friends were married there as well and loved it!!!

Congrats everyone!

I'm a Beaches bride to be as well. We are getting married in April 2010!

Future_mrs2010 - where are you having your reception? We will probably do the dinner at one of the restos but will do the private cocktail reception somewhere else on the resort.

What are you ladies doing for the flowers? I saw pictures of the bouquets in the carefree wedding package and didn't like them at all! I'll be upgrading for sure!

Meagan,

Yup it is just the two of us with our two kids for now. If family is able to attend (cost of trip will be a huge factor for them) I will add in some extras but nothing over the top.

Winne,

I am with you beautiful flowers are a must. I saw an amazing picture of a bouquet that a Sandals or Beaches Negril bride had and I am hopinjg that it will be available for T&C brides. There a three things that I will not cut corners on if possible: pictures, hair, and my bouquet. Anything else I am not that worried about.

Even though it is looking like it will be just us, I am thinking about doing a romantic dinner at a local place to make the night more special. The food at the resort is great but you only get one wedding day.

Love love love love love my flowers!!! I purchased them off of etsy.com

The seller is FentonFlorals. They are polymer clay flowers and they look so real it is ridculous! She can create ANYTHING you dream up of! She is doing all of my flowers!!!! def check her out!!!!! And You KEEP THEM FOREVER!!!!! You can not bring flowers off the island so I see no point in paying $300 for a bouquet.. that is what I was quoted at to see and use for one day and then have to throw away. With the clay flowers, you have them forever!!!

Winnie- We are extending our reception from 30 minutes to either 2 or 3 hours not sure yet and I have no clue where that is held. My WC said on some sort of private porch/deck overlooking the ocean... works for me!!

Are you using their photographer? I booked Tropical Imaging to take us off property for some amazing pics! Can not wait. Ileana wil be taking our photos along with my boudoir photos!!

I have also booked a massage for FI and I couple days before wedding and the private candlelit dinner on the beach the day after the wedding!

SO excited! So happy to have found some TC BEaches brides!!

Hello T&C Brides!!

My fiancé and I just decided on Turks & Caicos Beaches for our DW! I am super excited to start planning, though the wedding will be in approx May of 2011. I'm sure the time will fly! Just wanted to say hi, and I'm sure I'll pick up some great ideas on this site.

Hi I am planning a July 2010 wedding there. I saw some pics from the Beaches photographer that someone posted. They do not look professional. How are you going about geting photographed by Tropical Imaging? (their work looks amazing!!!) I am nervous because i want photos of the ceremony and reception as well. I think i may do both Beaches and Tropical Imaging.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
