Alright ladies, the reservation department at Privilege just sent me the price rates and the reservation form, and the prices are not bad at all! Thanks for calming me down!

I would really appreciate any first-hand descriptions/pictures of the place when you guys get back, Willeme & Jennifer!

Hey Tina,

Iâ€m glad they sent you the proposal. My travel agent and I received answers to our questions on Thursday of this past week and went through everything on Friday. If you have questions, let me know. Some of the items were a little confusing.

You are welcome to email me separately or we can ever talk by phone, if that would be helpful. My email address is rachellchrist@gmail.com.

If you would like me to talk a look at your contract to make sure they included a few pertinent items and disclaimers, I am happy too. Iâ€m having them add a few things to mine before I sign.

Iâ€m glad you were pleased. They seem great to work with. Do you know if Elba will be the wedding coordinator or will there be someone else outside of their sales department? I have some menus I can send you as well, if you donâ€t already have them.

Best,

Rachel

Hi Rachel, I just emailed you a copy of the reservation form that I got so if you could see if it's missing anything I would be sooo appreciative!!

Elba told me she's the wedding coordinator, but she may have helpers, etc. I think they work with Sundreamers Wedding quite a bit because they plan to use Sabina as the officiator (although we're bringing our own so won't need her)

Hey Ladies,

I just found out about Privilege today and i'm super excited!!! Until a few hours ago our plan was to get married at Dreams Tulum but the hotel rates are CRAZY - $175 PP/PN - this would be too much to ask of our guests!!! If any of you have received price lists for additional wedding services would you mind sharing them with me? (sheenjamin@gmail.com) Does any one know how private the beach ceremony is? Are there sunbathers watching your ceremony?

Thanks so much!

Hi Sheena, I don't have too many details right now; I think Elba's very busy and we haven't firmed anything up.

I just got the pricing information for the wedding package without a minister ($1,610). The wedding package seems to include a lot, including chairs for 20, a cake, flowers/decorations for the aisle, etc. I was quoted additional chairs at $3 pp, and $35 pp for the reception menu if the group is not all-inclusive; the $35 includes alcohol and other beverages. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, I don't know how private it will be since technically all beaches in Mexico are public, and Privilege Aluxes is in the very popular Playa Norte beach area, but Elba said that folks tend to respect weddings and are discreet. Let's hope so, I don't want speedos or overly tanned women in my wedding photos!!

Wow, Sheena, thanks for the info! If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions:

1. I'm assuming the $15 pp cocktail hour is just for the non-inclusive crowd? I thought the drinks and stuff were included with the $35 dinner fee?

2. Do you know how long the fire dancer show is?

3. What is the deluxe set up ceremony??

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
