It's worked really well and saved a ton of $ on STDs and Invitations! My family and friends are all very internet-savvy though, so it probably wouldnt work if you had guests who aren't as comfortable with the net.
I did the same thing as you. I didn't send out invites just went through my travel agent.

Pink and green are popular colors! Those are mine as well - ivory, with accents of hot/fushia pink and green! We sent out save the dates earlier and we just sent out our invitations last week. Not sure if the save the dates were necessary. People went to look at the webpage but didn't really help in booking everyone faster. Although now our flight is apparently limited on seating so we are having to call people and let them know the sooner they book the better.

I didn't send any std's. Right now I am working on my invitations and I will be mailing them out in a few weeks. We aren't getting married until Nov. 2008 but we talk often with most of our guests so everyone can be easily updated. I will have people rsvp by Feb that gives everyone 3 months. Is that long enough or too short notice what do you think? I see everyone's logo, how do I make one myself?

We had a wedding website that had STD info and then we had a big wedding shower (combination of an engagement party and co-ed bridal shower) back on the east coast in August. After the wedding shower, we mailed out the invites and our guests have until Nov. 15 to rsvp (not pay, but rsvp).

Our TA recommended that we send ours out early to give people enough time to get their passports and to also save up money for the trip.

            Hi!
I'm new here but I have found all the info so helpful! I am getting married in Jamaica Riu Ocho Rios Feb 15th 2008 at 1pm. I am trying to book a boat cruise for after the wedding/before the reception for all the girls on here who arent sure what to do in between I'll let you know the responses I get. My coordinators name is Carolina so I am guessing there's more than one coordinator there I just asked her a gazillion questions about the ceremony (like can we write our own vows) so I' ll let you know what I get! But I just wanted to say hi for now!

Seriously reading these posts make realize how much I have not thought about re: the wedding. I am getting married on 6/14 which is a Sat and I am kinda bummed I didn't know about the beach party on fri...but anyways...

                      I was wondering :

                      1) Which restaraunt you think is the best for dinner after the wedding?

I am not much of the planner/creative type...and am working on a budget..what extras do you guys think are so worth it to pay for at the RIU?

also should I be worried I haven't heard from anyone about me confirming my wedding online over a week ago
I feel like everyone else has the whole thing planned..hopefully I will be there soon....
