Hey girls!

I was on Trip Advisor this morning and there were a bunch of new reviews of the ROR...all were wonderful! Makes me feel a lot better, after some not-so-great reviews of the past month.

I'm not sure if I am yet, just curious if it was a possibility. We booked the Royal, but we don't need the photography and we might not need the flowers. I think you all maybe had it right by booking the free one & adding to it!

I guess all we can do is hope they will be good boys and not be too hung over for the ceremony!! hehehehe.

That is such a good idea!! Wow you are organized. How do you get the time to do all this?? I can't even find the time to look for BM dresses!! I have about 65 pepole so far and people still booking. We are having ours in the plantation so I guess your right it would be better to make seating arrangements so it is easier for the guests. Anymore great ideas for placecards?? Will you be bringing the mini rum bottles down or buying them there? I am so worried about the customs thing flying in from Canada I don't know what they will allow me to bring.

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet for the actual placecards, but for the tables I took pictures of numbers written in the sand. I am putting the pictures in frames that I'm painting in our "wedding colors" (pink and lime green) and then hot gluing on little wooden beach thingies. I got candles in our colors and starfish/sand dollars to scatter around the frames. Once I get it all done, I'll post a picture of what the table number frames look like.

Yes you can change the package. That was one of my first questions to Chandlyn. I will try and find that email from Chandlyn and post it. Are you going to go with a different one? I was curious of that as well if we weren't going to get the room upgrade I was going to change to the free package and just get the additions we wanted. I have a photographer so I really don't need the pictures or anything else just wanted the fancy room!! hehehehe

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum. I just read all of your great ideas - how fun. I'm getting married at the Riu on 2/15/08. I just ordered my dress from David's but that's about all I've done so far. I booked the Plantation cuz I think we are going to have 50+. I also booked the disco after so we could do some dancing. I'm getting married at the beach gazebo - I think it's so pretty. I received an e-mail from Chandlyn last week saying the tables at the plantation seat 6?? I seen other people said 8 - I wonder exactly what it is? I would like to know so when it gets closer I can do place cards. I love all of your idea's - so clever. Well - I'm really glad to be on this forum - talk to you soonsmile159.gif.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
