Found my dress!

Well I found my dress and ordered it last week! It is the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted...which I think seems to happen quite often after reading several threads here.

 

I thought I wanted more of a sheath beachy looking dress. I ended up loving the 2nd of about 30 dresses I tried on. It is made of taffeta and organza so it is still pretty light. Corset back and more on the gowny side with lots of beading on the top half and some along the train (which happens to be longer than I originally intended) and on the bottom front of the skirt.

 

I can't wait until it comes in (about 6-8 months). I keep looking at my photos of it! I am trying to post pictures of it but keep getting a message that it's an unvalid file

Congratulations! Can't wait to see. Mine was completely different than what I thought I wanted and all the pictures I had brought with me to the dress shop!

 

So funny how that happens, but what we like in pictures and what looks good on us are 2 completely different things!

Congrats! Lol i was looking for a short funky dress and kept saying I don't want something long and weddingy- I went into a store, tried on one dress, and bought it on the spot- it's long, puffy, with crystals lol-- so I know what you mean! How great does it feel to find it though!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
