I don't have a clue what I'd wear to a BD shoot... FI doesn't have any preferred sports teams (no jersey), I never wear heels and I have no CLEAVAGE! That rules out most of the sexy shots sad.gif

Tonya- those designs are really pretty!
Tracy- can't wait to see your e-pics!
We fall in the same boat, I don't even own a pair of heels, But I figured I buy a cheap pair at payless, always good to have around.
I have 0 boobs, so I wont be able to hold up any sexy lingerie
But the FI loves Montreal Canadian's ,point for me!
I was watching t.v yesterday tho, and a VS commercial came on, about their push up bras )they add 2 cup sizes). I am considering buying one to wear, even with a piece of lingerie, can be something you may want to consider as well
I say just go to the mall and check things out one day on your free time, brain storm some ideas.

I can personally vouch for the VS bras blush2.gif - they do work wonders. You can get miracle bra swimsuits and lingerie from them too- highly recomend the bikinis!

Oh yeah -they sure do! Check the website and you can search for bathing suits by type- just pick the miracle bra type. It was a life saver this year when we went to Punta Cana, let me tell you! They've got nice beach stuff in general.

Tracy, I agree with Erin..90 pics is a lot..we had 244 and for me that was way too many..got my monies worth but it was a lot of pics..my photog is doing mine as well plus our ahr..and she included my 2 books, 1 bd & 1 storybook complete with all our pics..it was a pkg deal like 1600 which includes a setup @ AHR for guests, etc...

To be honest, I've never found a VS bra that actually fit me well. They always just seemed to be a little bit off. Okay so maybe I have no idea how to fit myself properly or something, but regardless I can still tell what is comfy or not! I'd love to get a little boost!

And I got the room booked for my photographer this morning, after deciding that I was probably better to go the safe route and book it while there was a good sale on instead of waiting until last minute to try and save a few bucks but risk not getting anything. AND I had remembered that my girlfriend booked a previous trip through itravel2000.com and received a discount for phoning to book instead of going online, so I did the same thing this morning and got an extra $20 taken off the posted price! So IMO it was money well spent.

The funny thing is, since FI was so opposed to getting a photographer in the first place, I didn't even tell him that we'd have to cover the room charge on top of it (resort requirements) so this will just be one of those things that slides under the carpet for a rainy day in 20 years when I can say 'remember when...' because it will be all said and done! LOL!

Shan - glad to hear that Brian picked his ring out! We still have to find mine, and figure out if FI wants either the 6mm or the 8mm. I think he'll end up going for the 6mm though because he doesn't really wear jewelery of any sort in which case the 8mm might be too much for him.

shan,

Wow you got an amazing deal for your photographer. What happen to me was we planning a in town wedding at first and put a deposit on the photographer $390 and put a deposit on the reception hall $800. So when we decided to do DW we cancelled and lost our deposit for the hall, but I felt like i had a contection with the photographer, so I asked her instead of losing the depo would I be able to get e-shoots for the $390... she said ok but I had to pay an extra $75 for all 90 files, this way I can print whenever which ever I want. And i get 1 8X5 pic. I figured it was nice not to lose the deposit, I am very happy with 90 shots. I don't know what I would have done with anymore then that. But I wont have a photographer at our AHR. But that's ok!!

Now I have to pay another $185 for the BD pictures, but i am still not sure if pictures are included in this price.. probably not!

Meghan,

awwww really... I am disapointed to hear you don't like the bra's. I am also all about being comfortable. But i may still get it for BD shoots lol. maybe I'll go try one on first at the mall before buying one. I'm so happy B finally got his ring.. any pics? I have no idea what a 6mm or 8mm ring is!!

HAHA the fi doesn't even know you had to book a room for the photographer, that's too funny and cute. What he doesn't know what hurt him!!

Good thinking in getting the room now with the cheaper price instead of stressing over it for the next 4-5months. Another thing you can check off you to do list!

I love Itravel, it's the only company I book with.. and they are pretty good at giving you a discount if you call them (they get commission)

Meghan,

Question that has nothing to do with Wedding..

where exactly do you live in AB?!?!

I've been looking for a job here in Mtl and it's been hard, all lot has changed in the last 3 years since I've worked, and now all jobs require you to write french (I can not, I went to an english school lol)

Do you guys have a hard time finding jobs? I have friends down there as well, they say it's amazing for jobs, and living(Medicine Hat).. may consider heading on over there after we get married.

Hi ladies!! I wouldn't worry too much about having cleavage and sexy heels, it's the subtle things that usually are the sexiest in BD pics... And I'm sure your FI will love it no matter what you have on. It's crazy that FI will tell me how sexy I look even though I may feel like I look a total mess :)

On another note, I have a couple checks to cross off my list... This weekend I place the order for my BM dresses which should be here in about a week. My FI and his groomsmen all went and got their measurements done so that we can place the order for their outfits from Studio Suits. I also began working w/ a friend on my formal invites and ordered samples to create a mock-up of the finished product.

I would love to show you ladies a pic of the dress and the first draft of the invite but my job blocks photobucket so I can't upload the pics. I will try to remember to do it when I get home tonight.

Tracy - I think the job market here all depends on what you do. I've had friends who were laid off in February (or around there) and they still have not found work again. I'd imagine that your being able to speak french fluently may help but I really don't know for sure. I live in Calgary and despite how much its grown in the last few years I still really like it. I used to live in southern Ontario and would say that I definitely prefer it here, although I've started to realize some things that I really miss but not sure that I would move back for. There are still lots of opportunities around southern Alberta, and if you were willing to move out here anyways then you have the luxury of just going wherever the jobs are, as opposed to someone who wanted to be in a specific place. I would say that if you kept an eye on job postings/listings anywhere that you could for a couple months, you would probably get a feel for what is available pretty quickly. I can add, however, that the cost of living itself - housing and stuff - is higher than out east in general. I couldn't give you % rates or anything but I know that what we paid for our house here is more than what we'd pay in ontario for the same surroundings, neighborhood, access etc etc. Just something to keep in mind.

OH and your comment on the 6mm or 8mm rings? Those are the most common widths for mens rings. So you would order a size 8.5 (measurement around the finger) and a 6mm width for example. Does that help? You can get womens bands in different widths as well of course, not just the mens.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
