If you saw my e.ring on it's own, you'd only notice the solitaire that i've got, and if you saw my wedding band alone you'd think it was the skinniest tiny little thing ever (sugar crystals are larger than the diamonds in my wedding band LOL!). But when I wear them together all of a sudden the overall look seems a heck of a lot bigger than what I'd pictured from the two separate items.
I totally second this! My engagement ring is a good size on it's own but not huge, and my wedding band is downright tiny. Put them together, though, and it feels like a whole lot o' ring on one finger. I think I'm just not used to it yet. Honestly I don't know how people wear aniversary bands or two wedding bands- but when I see it on other peoples fingers it always looks nice. I think we'll just need to get used to it. Come to think of it, my engagement ring took some getting used to, also, I was always catching it on stuff or banging it on things at first.

hoyt, i think they look fantastic! i love when each ring compliments the other!!

i have a ring-related confession to make... sometimes i sneak into the room where i am keeping all of our wedding stuff and try my band on with my ring! i can't wait to wear it all the time!

i got an email yesterday from my flower lady and ALL of my flowers are DONE!!! bouquets, bouts, centerpieces, everything! i'm going to pick it all up this weekend and then i can knock off half of my to do list!! (the things like setting up what i want reception tables to look like and taking pictures, etc.)

of course i will post pictures of all of that stuff too!

We made quite a few little seemingly insignificant changes to ours after that!
I agree with everyone else that it's pretty and matches well your e-ring. I also agree that by itself the band is really very pretty but appears large next to your e-ring. Could the jeweler keep the same style but make it skinnier?

Wedding bands are difficult, IMO! I have such a unique e-ring that no wedding band goes with it. Even a custom made one would take away from the daintiness of the band. I'm using my grandmother's plain white gold wedding band as my wedding ring and it just doesn't match at all! Or it could be that I'm just not used to it...

erin that's awesome about your flowers!! It'll be such a GREAT feeling to get so much taken off your list! And its so cute that you sneak in to wear your ring for a little while. I have to admit that everytime I make FI try his band on, it totally gives me goosebumps! I absolutely love it. I think since I'm so used to wearing a ring, that's the closest I can relate to your guilty pleasure cheesy.gif

I'm excited right now because I just picked up the sandals for all the girls which includes MY sandals that I'm wearing with my wedding dress. They are SO the perfect colour of blue and while I wish a little bit that I had something slightly more fancy, I wouldn't trade the colour for anything. So I can now officially say that clothing for the wedding party is officially DONE AND DONE! Woohoo! With just two and a half weeks to go LOL!

Hey ladies… I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread! Anyway, I just had to share pics of stuff I got in the mail today (from VistaPrint of course).

Welcome Sign for our Welcome Dinner (small yard sign from VistaPrint)

Sign to decorate our cruising guests’ cabin doors on the cruise (Outdoor Large Window Decal w/ sticky backing from VistaPrint). I thought about ordering the car door magnets to decorate the doors, since the cabin doors are metal, but the magnets costs about three times as much as the widow decals (even with a coupon).

Here are some pictures of the gifts we got for my parents and my FMIL.

Personalized frame for my parents from poetrygift.com (they had three different poems to choose from or you could have your own poem put on it). We will give them a wedding photo to put in the frame later.

Personalized frame for my FMIL from ETCTrade.com. This frame looks sooo much nicer in person. I liked it so much that I decided to order one for my Grandma this past weekend. They also have frames for bridesmaids, but Iâ€ve already bought so much stuff for my bridesmaids. I used the coupon code FGIFT315 to get 15% off.

Natasha - I love those picture frames! You're fam is going to really like them.

Glad to hear that everyone's attire to starting to be finalized. I picked up FI pants yesterday and finally found him a shirt that I liked at Target (of all the places). He's a small guy and most smalls are to big on him, plus my dress isn't white or ivory, it's more of creamy milk color. Anyways, it's was really hard to find him a shirt.

Ladies, thank you so much for your encouragement and words about my wedding band. I was just so upset about it, and I was really hoping for tears of joy not sorrowmsncry.gif. I drove all the way back to Dallas today to drop it back off at the jeweler. He is going to fix it for me before we leave! YAY! And just to clarify, it's all my fault that's that I didn't like it. I approved the wax, the design, I even saw the wax before he cast the ring.... I just didn't understand how big it was going to be. smile35.gifTo be fair, he did do a really good job, I'm just on my own little planet lately.

Officially 1 week before we take off! Today was the first day that I could check the weather in Playa del Carmen on the 10 day weather forcast.... not gonna lie, I totally got the butterflies!smile41.gif

Finalized everything with the wc and send an email to the photographer. This makes me feel much more relieved then I have been feeling lately.

It's really starting to come together ladies!!!!smile03.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
