April 2010 Brides

Tracy- I love your speach ideas! I haven't even given any thought to that... one more thing for the list I guess.

Those hair prices are insane! Wow, that is so much more than what you'd pay at home.

I think I've picked out what I'd like for my hair but I don't know if the front part goes with the back if you know what I mean. Here's what I'm looking at:

Also, I'm hoping I have enough hair for the back- my hair is just past my shoulders now. It's really fine but there's a lot of it.

What do you think?

I really like those hair pics! I think if you want the fullness of that do maybe you could look into hair extensions?? When I did my hair trial with my BM who is doing it for me, we discovered that I wound up with a bare spot right smack in the middle of the back of my head, with the way we needed to do my hair to get more fullness on top! So we're just going to add in a couple fillers :)

Thanks! I have been trying to find a good picture of us to put up. I know this sounds funny but we have a 4 picture 3x5 frame with this photo in it. There are 4 total photos of us at this wedding last year. There is one where he is kissing me on the cheek, then the next one I am kissing him on the cheek, the next is me dancing with him with my head on his shoulder and then the 4th one is the one you see attached. It was his idea to frame them like that. He came home one day with the frame and said here is what I'm going to do with these pictures. Lol... I was happy about it. He is a real sweetheart like that. :) I cant wait to be his wife! Cheesy but true!

ok- I'm loosing my mind. I ordered chair sashes a couple weeks ago in navy blue, and they come in packs of 10. This is perfect because their will only be 9 people (bride and groom not included) for the ceremony. But, the wc was going to take those chair w/ sashes and use them for the reception, where their will be 13 people (including bride, groom, and photographer). Thankfully I just realized that I didn't have enough chair sashes for the reception and placed another order which will come in this Friday. I have lost my dag-gum mind and I have so much left to do before I go all crazy!smile105.gif

hehe Jenna you're funny! But I can totally relate too! I wrote up my to-do list yesterday morning since I found there wasn't a single checklist that would get me through the next couple of weeks! So a 1.5 pages later... How am I going to find the time? Thank goodness we've got an extra day off over the Easter weekend!

That's a good idea- I may have to look into that. My hair is pretty fine so I don't usually get a lot of volume.

I know how you feel- I keep going over everything in my head over and over again and I feel like I'm driving myself bonkers.

I am so glad that we have the long weekend. I took an extra day off that weekend and I have so much that I plan to get done- mostly spring cleaning before our housesitters have to stay at our place. I have some last minute DIY things, too- I'd like to get them done now but I need some things finalized with the resort first.

    • Good afternoon, I wanted to inquire if anyone has or knows someone who got married at this resort. How was it? How are the coordinators? Packages that were chosen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.
    • Hi all! I know this is an old thread... but just in case there are other destination wedding brides out there with the same question, I thought I would answer! My guy and I live in Texas and just got our marriage license (yay!). We are getting married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The Dallas County clerk informed us that we can get our marriage license in Texas, bring it and a Texas-registered officiant to Mexico, have the ceremony in Mexico, then bring the marriage license back to Texas to file and it will be LEGAL in the US.  In  other words, we can legally get married in Mexico using our Texas marriage license and officiant (who is a family friend), then file the paperwork when we get home. Where it says 'county in which ceremony was performed' on the license, we just put in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and bam! Married :) I do not know if this is true for other states, but it is CONFIRMED for Texas! I suggest asking the clerk when you register for your marriage license. I am overjoyed that we can have a US-legal marriage in Mexico so our wedding date on our license will be the actual day! NO blood tests, or getting married before or after the trip required!
    • Every Bride spends a lot of time researching and worrying about her perfect wedding dress. While many Indian brides choose the traditional red colour for their bridal gown, a few of them find some different colours to wear on their special day. Here is a description of how to choose an Indian wedding dress that suits your skin tone. 1) Fair complexion: You can choose any shade of blue or bright shades of pink and red. In the shades of blue- select scuba blue or royal blue. Among other colours this season, you can pick up your dress in tangerine.   2) Wheatish complexion Just select those colours which bring out the warmth in your complexion. Some of the best options for you are tangy orange, saffron yellow, vibrant shades of red, mint green and hot pink.   3) Dusky complexion: If you have an olive skin tone, then you can pull off any rich and dark colour quite well. So, the colours like classic blue, marsala, burnt orange and brick red are just perfect for you. Also the metallic silver, gold and bronze will even flatter your face pretty well
