I love VS bathing suits! And I love it even more when they're on sale. I bought two bandeus (spelling?) last year to wear in order to eliminate tan lines.. I may just have to buy more for the wedding week. Thanks for heads up!

Oh yeah, my BD shoot was fun! You guys were right, within 5 mins I was like, "OK, I can do this". I felt comfortable and I had a great time. I guess it helped that I had a friend do them for me, but still..we were both a nervous wreck when we started. Once we had our lil pep talk it was on..we had good chemistry together. I can't wait for the teasers!!

Thats great news, so happy to hear they went well.. can't wait to see a pic if your showing. Since I know how personally they are.

Thanks for sharing for the VS specials. I need to order a romper from there so why not a bathing suit to add on that list (I need a strapless one for the tanning lines for the wedding dress) Just sucks cause I have to pay the exchange rate, and then duty fee. Which isn't cheap. Ah well.

Ugh I hear ya Tracy about the extra fees for VS stuff. At least the exchange rate is pretty damn good right now! Plus I've been taking advantage of my girlfriend who lives in the US to have her send things along. It seems to work well for us though because although she usually won't let me pay her back for the shipping (I think it's kind of my gift from her LOL!) I just send something that is specifically for her every now and then. She likes the surprise and I like the deal on cheaper shipping!

No problem! I've added the link here because I don't know if you have enough posts to open it up. If you have any trouble with it shoot me a PM with your email address and I'll send it to you that way.

ETA: no problem about the VS tip, and yes I totally agree about shipping/ duty. It's such a hassle.

oh lucky! I have no friends in the US.. altho my mom does.. maybe i could do that.. so if she she send's it to you there is no duty fee? or your friend just pays for it? I am wondering if it's even worth going that route

Thanks!!! I couldn't find the link lol..

I have a little bit of problem maybe.. as I bought my package with TMR and the plan is Air Transit.. so it'll probably be different then actually buying my package with air transit.

Hmmm... check with your travel agent or Transat- I think as long as it's a transat wedding you should still qualify for it even if you booked with them through a third party, but I could be wrong about that.

Great thanks so much I look into that!! :) Cause I'll definitely need it lol

My Last trip we went with Sunwing.. and I was over by 15kg, they wanted to charge me 20$ a kg so I took a bag took some stuff out of the big bag and ditch the little one ... for $5 a day to keep it at the airport. So I kind of don't want to go through that especially on my wedding vacation, because there will be nothing to take out lol

I know- the extra charge is so crazy on these charter flights. It's just insane! We were really close last time- within a kg or two- and I was so stressed when they put my suitcase on the scale! I had a ton of books though so that didn't help. I just got an ereader for Christmas, so I'll load up a bunch of books on that and that should help for this trip.

For any US purchases, if you have them sent from a friend or family member then I don't think you can get charged a duty fee since the package can be claimed as a gift item. It's one of those weird loopholes I guess. So when my girlfriend sends me any purchases that i've made, she either re-wraps the package or rips off/covers all the original labels and sends it along. So if you are able to get free shipping within the US (like on many of the VS sales) then it totally works out cheaper. And some items i've paid for the shipping to my friend and then here and it was still probably cheaper than paying for it to be sent directly. It all depends on the declared value of your purchase as to what duty fees you would have to pay and what option would work out cheaper for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
