I have it in word doc. Hope that is ok. If not let me know I'll safe it in something else.

I just want the planning of the wedding to end already, and for the vacation and wedding to come. I've been planning for pretty much almost 2 years. I'm done! lol

Hope the list helps a little!! Let me know.

Hi Everyone!

I'm putting invitation wording together and stumped on a couple things.... are you guys mentioning AHR on the formal invite?

My mistake is that I made an invitation that I like then sent it to our parents to see if they liked it... everyone came back with opinions that don't match up with mine :-/ lol

Grrr.

Also trying to get the photographer smoothed out...

Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!!

Tracy I'm definitely going to be looking at your song list later on! I wasn't online pretty much at all yesterday but I wasn't at work either... so two things to catch up on and of course work has to take priority. I was an idiot and TOTALLY forgot about a meeting that I had booked for yesterday afternoon so I've got to cover my ass this morning! Oooops!

And yay for you girls getting a few people booked and more checked off your list with the videographer! Those are definitely noteworthy items! And even though I've already got a number of guests booked, I did have a few mention to me the other day that waiting until the new year to book is probably easier on a lot of people right now because the whole "looking forward" mentality is really difficult for a lot of people right now. I know we've said the same thing here before, but I think it was just a bit more reassuring hearing it from someone else and I hope you all have friends in the same boat that will just start booking up quickly after the holidays!!

Kimmy - there will always be different opinions from yours but the good thing is that you can pick and choose what changes you actually want to make from them! Make your invites the way you want to... and if someone is offended then just say "I took everyone's opinion into consideration and incorporated those suggestions where they seemed to work best with mine". And if that secretly means you didn't listen to a single suggestion because none fit with your ideas then so be it! Haha! People will always have their own opinion but in the end they will be happy with whatever invitation that you've chosen just because it is official and they have details in hand. I am not having an AHR so I can't help with whether to mention it directly on the invite really. Maybe you could include an additional note card with the details on it? That way it might be treated more as its own separate event/date from the actual wedding vacation itselfhuh.gif

I'm with everyone on the ipod playlist. I've compiled a lot of songs but haven't organized them. I've also been flipping through radio stations for music and use shazam on my phone to jot down the artist and songs titles lol.

Is anyone using an "untraditional" first dance song? I remember Swing Life Away was mentioned (Erin, was that you?) and I thought it would be a good first dance song...however, how do you dance to it? Just sway back and forth?

So my NYC shoot didn't happen as planned over the weekend. My dad came up and help FI and I tile our bathroom, which we've been renovating for FOREVER. I'm happy that room is finally coming together though. As for the engagement shoots, it looks like those "pre-engagements" are it, lol.. I'm not complaining though.

Yay for Michele and Erin. It must feel good to have people booked and to have a videographer! In the last week FI's parents booked, I still need to get mine to book ugh. Oh, my cousin who's in nursing school texted me lastnight said she was able to keep her room reservation... I guess she worked out her finals with her professor, now she doesnt have to cancel! As for the videographer, I will also be having one! I just hope it won't come out cheesy lol.

Hi All April Brides: I am also one and have just found this thread. I have been on the Bahia Principe Bride Thread. I am still having trouble getting around on BDW. We have 31 people booked for our wedding and that is just family and a few friends. We could possibly have more as I am sending my invitations out within the next 2 weeks.

The last few pages you have been talking about song lists. Does anyone have some song suggestions for the wedding when the flower girls, bridesmaids are walking? We have decided on our first dance song it is:

Someone Like You by Van Morrison

Dawn

Hi April Brides! Just checking in...how exciting, our tickers our getting down to the 5 month mark, YAY. I actually feel like i'm in pretty good shape and don't plan on doing any more "planning" until the beginning of the year, Jan. Sent my invitations out early (September) with a January rsvp date, just so i can start planning the OOT bags, already have my dress, first fitting is January 10. Have 2 veils, 2 pair of shoes, need to determine my hairstyle, bought our rings, booked photographer & DJ...am i missing anything girlshuh.gif for now anyway?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
