I personally LOVE the first one, love the color it's stunning!! I already voted and not sure if I made a comment at the time....

The second is stunning too, lol I love them both, and to tell you the truth they are both more fancy then my actual wedding dress so I don't even know what to tell you! lol

Put the second one in white and it'd be a wedding dress I'd buy!!
Good luck with whatever you decide to tell her!!

I am having a welcome dinner with all my guests the night before the wedding. This will be an optional event and will be treated as a meet and greet for the attendees, although most will already know each other. On our RSVP postcards we'll have people check off if they'll be participating, that way I'll know in advanced how many people to book a reservation for at a restaurant we choose down there.

My mom is a fancy shmancy person. I've told her countless times she'll stick out from the crowd but she doesnt care. I'll have go give it another go and if I have no luck then I'm just gonna give up lol.

I hope you feel better and are taking care of yourself Suzy!

As long as she's happy then that's what counts, lol!! because that means you'll be happy too! She's going to look Fab in whatever she chooses, if that's what she wants you might as well just go with it!! Like I said before both dresses are amazing!

Ugh, all these great ideas were found after the fact I mailed everything!! I wish I would have thought to put that on my RSVP's, I should have joined this forum sooner!!

I will be feeling better soon, tonight not so much! It was a friend's going away dinner this evening and it was at an Ethiopian restaurant - which I've had before but not in years! Forgot how spicy it is!! lol, oh I take that back I'm not laughing now!
I'm sure the Doc will fix me up next week, it will be nice to ENJOY a glass of wine! :o) Mmmmmm can't wait! No more Ethiopian food for me for a while - it was soooooooooo good though, almost, just almost worth the pain! :o)

Thanks for all the concern ladies!! I'm just over-due on my maintenance is all!

Suzy, sorry to hear about the ulcer! Have you tried the over-the-counter Prilosec? It shuts down acid secretion in your stomach. There are prescription versions as well (Nexium, Protonix) that all work very well.

There are a lot of things you can do to help prevent flare-ups, like avoiding spicy/acidic foods, not eating too close to bedtime, etc.

It's good you're going to get checked out. Hope you're feeling better SOON!

KPETT10- I'm getting married a different RIU but a RIU nonetheless... as far as I know their photographer is always available when they book weddings. You don't have to comit to using him until you get down to the resort. It doesn't hurt to confirm this information with the resort though.

You're lucky you live in the States, I don't think Prilosec is over-the-counter in Canada yet, but I'm not totally sure so it looks like I have some research ahead of me!! :o( but I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the suggestion!

I am heading to the States in a couple of weeks though....... ;o)

Suzy - you're out of luck with the Prilosec here sad.gif A friend of mine takes it and he either drives into the US or has friends/family bring it back for him. It's not like he needs it all the time though so it's easy enough to manage. See what the doctor says about it at your appointment next week.

I take Nexium (prescription only) when I need it. My doctor tried me out on some that weren't as strong but the others didn't do the trick. If I have a really bad flare up then I take a pill a day for three or four days but that's about it now. I had to go through the period of taking them every day for a number of months before I could back it down to an as-needed basis. But it worked! Hopefully your issues are as "easy" to fix - relative to what some of the other girls here are going through.

I take provacide, however I am not sure if these are given to people with normal ulcer, or just people with crohn's who gets ulcers! I have to take 1 everyday to prevent them now. I also inject myself bi weekly and having to take other meds everyday!! =( but I look at the glass half full, I am not dying and the meds at keeping me in check.

when is your doctor apt suzy?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
