OMG!!!! my ticker says 5 months 29 days :faints:

Happy Monday everybody!!! Welcome to Amy! and Kimmy I wish I did too!!

Well it worked out..we had so much fun at our e-pic shoot!! Brian fussed the whole time getting ready to go but once we got there he turned into GQ model and was a total HAM for the camera!! We had a few drinks to loosen us up b4 going..and our photog had some more drinks when we got there but uh no..didn't want him drunk...lol!!

We did studio pics and some outside pics...she does weddings also on her property so everything was set up nice! I wanted some city shots and she is gonna do those in spring for us hopefully before we got to Vegas..she also is gonna throw in a setup for our AHR if ppl want to purchase pics at that time.

She has like 3 weddings this month plus our session & a trip to VI so she said it might be a while before we get all the pics but she is gonna send some teasers...

No checks to report this week..I have stuff to get done but all little things..I have found my accessories & stuff like that just need to get it paid for.

Has anyone been able to find the I DO appliques for your shoes locally?..the shipping is ridiculous on them and I can't find them locally here.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and an even better Monday!!

We have 52 people booked so far and the number could be close to 60 by the time everyone is booked. I never thought that so many people would end up coming. I know that the price of the wedding goes up with every person but we are so excited to have everyone.

Has anyone thought about centerpieces yet? What hotel did you choose? What are you doing for flowers and favours?

Amy
Welcome Amy!!! Congrats on getting so many of your guests to book... I sure wish I could be in your shoes :) You are getting married on my BIRTHDAY!! There are a few posts on this thread about centerpieces and even some pictures too! I am doing real touch bouquets as my only flowers and they will do double duty as my centerpieces for the reception. I also plan to bring down a few moroccan lanterns also.

It can be so hard to ask people to pay so much money, but in the end its goingt o be worth it. So excited :)

Shan - I'm so happy that you engagement session went so well this weekend. We weren't going to do one initally, but now I am rethinking that decision. Btw, this is a huge check if you ask me :)

Do you mean the "I Do" rhinestones for the bottom of your shoes?? I had no clue they were ready made, I just assumed brides glued them on individually. Now I will keep a look out for them in craft stores.

Another question - I saw there was a discussion about processional music... Is there normally more than one song played or does everyone walk down to one song? I have a song picked out that I would love to walk to, but I didn't know if I should pick a few songs or how they would even flow together.

Christina~yep they are..I am lazy and so not into DIY'ng and was looking to buy some. I know Classy Bride has them but shipping is like 6bucks on a 5 dollar item....

As far as the song if you have one special you want to walk down then it won't hurt to have different song for the bridal party..I have been to weddings were there were 2...hth!

i was thinking we needed the same thing!! there have been a ton of people on here.. i actually considered going back to the first page and putting everyone down.. that's how bored i am at work!

i think this is totally up to you (but of course, i say that about everything wedding related)! i'm using 1 song, but having the verse part played when the BMs and MOH walk down the aisle, and then the chorus when i do.

they do have them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and if you have heels i think they would work well. shan, do you have one near you? if not i can run by mine and see if i can grab you some!

does anyone mind if i rearrange this a bit so it's in order and everyone's info is on there? i'm slightly OCD if you couldn't tell...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
