Is anyone else having the same problem I am? I just feel like I have nothing to do at this point. I have the location/wedding planner booked. The photographer is booked. Our hotel/airfare is booked. I have to buy my dress still but I know exactly which one it is. We bought Ben's ring already. I found a great deal for OOT bags on ebay so I scooped them. The STDs went out. I've put down a deposit on a catamaran for the day after the wedding. I dont know... I feel like there is nothing left for me to do... Anyone else feeling that way?

michele, i'm so jealous!! mine JUST turned to 8 last week! speaking of your wedding date, FI and I got a STD in the mail for his friend's wedding which is on april 10th. i kept telling FI that i swore i knew something else was going on that day and then i realized.. it's because that's YOUR date! FI just shook his head when i told him that i was thinking of the wedding of a BDW bride!

those of you looking for flowers, definitely let us know how the samples turn out! who in the world would have thought that finding artificial stargazers would be so difficult?! i found my other two flowers (white stargazers and pink/white orchids... for BM and bouts) no problem! i'm very tempted to send my bouquet inspiration pic to one of these places and just let them do it for me, rather than trying to buy my own and having my mom's friend do them.

andddd... as i was typing this message someone from the client that i'm working on came up and told me my car got broken into... they stole my gps, awesome. thankfully i don't have anything else in my car and my future stepdaughter's booster seat wasn't in there so i don't have to worry about glass on that!!

sorry for the random note.. had to share that with someone! going home now to drink a beer and call my insurance!

Hi Ladies!

I am an April 2010 bride as well! Our wedding date is April 12th.. at the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana.

We decided to have the wedding there and, because we know that several friends will not be able to attend, we are also having a reception in June (probably here at our home). We will most likely rent a tent and have a huge party in the backyard (we have an acre of land). Because we had to get the message out there quickly (according to our travel agent), I made my own invitations (with the help of my sister and niece... and fiance who helped cut our names out for the front!) and gave all the actual reservation information in the invite. Then on the RSVP, I had them choose the Dominican ceremony or the June Celebration. I mailed the invites last week and have 3 replies already. Also know of quite a few guests who are definitely going to Dominican but have not sent their RSVP back.

I think we will only book the tent for the party in March or April and then send a little party reminder.

If any of you need ideas for invites, or would like help with invites, let me know. We have received only fantastic comments... the colors were turquoise, black and white.

Are any of you ladies doing OOT bags?

Dawn :)

thanks michele!! i'm having some for myself too! :)

tara, i feel the same way sometimes. it's good because you can think of little details that you want to add and know that anything else you do is extra! the downside is that you see stuff on here that other people are doing and freak out feeling like you need to do that! i'm sure other things will come to you, but be glad for now that you're not stressed and rushed!!

hi dawn! love having more april PC brides!

it sounds like you're well on your way already!! you should post pictures of your invites so we can see them... sounds like they are beautiful!

i think a lot of the girls on here (myself included) are doing OOT bags. there are SO many good threads on here to help you decide if you want to do them and what the best things to include are! we are including advil, pepto, immodium, pool floats, towels, an information booklet for the guests (we are handing them out about a month before), a deck of cards, snacks, and i know some other things that i'm forgetting!

Hi! I'm so happy and proud to say I'm an april bride. April 13 2010. Grand Palladium Punta Cana. I've never been! Getting real excited!! I've already sent my invites out at the start of July.I've only got 4 rsvp back and 2 of those are our parents!!I doubt allot of people will go due to money issues (we all can relate) most of our family members wont be there. But I'll be happy if 10 show up. I'm assuming if I think like this more people will come!

Have any of you set a web page for your guest to check in for all the resort info and what not? I did since I will not be working with a travel agent (they wouldn't give me a good quote, and I know the price my guest can get through the internet)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
