Happy wedding day TRACY!!!!! I'm so sorry to hear about the drama going on, it's funny how other people think that a wedding is all about them! But don't let yourself worry about them... It's your day girl! It's going to be awesome! Not much longer and you'll be happy honeymooning with your beloved husband!

Safe traveling Mel!

I'm so glad to hear that your soon to be daughter gets to go to your wedding, that's awesome! How's everything going? You're almost there!

Hey ladies.... boy planning a wedding sure does bring out the best in people doesnt it? So.... If any of you remember the drama that I was having with my MOH, its gotten worse. She acted like a total brad during my bach party. She shows up an hour and a half late to the party (which she didnt throw me btw) and 45 mins late to my shower which was the same day. She made rude comments about the music I wanted to listen to during the bach party and she ended up leaving early due to "a stomach ache". So.... this whole process has really made me realize the reasons that attracted me to being her friend in the first place are now reasons I dont like the person she is now. She is super immiture and will never think before she speaks which was acceptable when we were 18 but not when we're 28. She has never moved out of her parents house and refuses to get a real job. She has 3 part time jobs however. Nothing with benefits or anything like that. Life time fitness front desk, a green house and a nanny a couple days a week. I'm sure its all hard work but it all avoids her from growing up. She just got fired from Life Time and they banned her from ever having a membership there. So because of that, she is posting stupid stuff on facebook about how she got her membership back. I asked her why the heck she would even want a membership there after getting fired and she told me she didnt really get it back, that was a lie to get her old co workers that she is friends with on facebook to squirm. Stupid. Why? Why be so immiture.

Going back to my shower, my soon to be step daughter (shes 14) wanted to write for me while I was opening gifts. My MOH sat down and snatched the pad and pencil from her and said I'm the MOH, its my job to write. C'mon, really? Its not like you wanted to be there anyways.. you came 45 mins late. Grrrrrrrr!

Sorry this is getting so long... We are staying on Isla Mujeres which is a small island off of Cancun. She emailed another single guest if she wanted to go partying in Cancun with her which wasnt part of our plan at all so that got to me a little too. I'm just hoping I dont have to deal with her much while we're there. I want to scream at her really but wont because its just not worth it at this point. I'll do the things I wanted to do and enjoy the time with my family and new hubby. :)

so so so glad to hear that jodi!! take it easy and pace yourself.. you've still got time!!

tara, i can't believe that craziness with your MOH. it seems like everyone's got a nut-job or two they have to deal with! hopefully she will just go off with your other single guest and you won't have to worry about her too much during your trip! i can't believe she did that to your stepdaughter either.. you're not kidding about the immature part!

i feel like we're the only ones left!! either people need to get back or someone needs to press the life fast forward button!!

last minute freak out question for anyone who knows the answer...

i know i can bring my dress on the plane with me, but does it matter what it's in? i was originally planning on just carrying it in the dress bag that i'll get from the dress shop, but now i'm second guessing that!!

You can carry your dress on in the bag. You get tons of attention in the airport and from other passengers! Just be aware that if they don't have room in the closet, or if they don't have a closet, that you will have to store it up top. I had to do this, but the flight attendent was really cool about it. We just found a compartment that had nothing in it, laid my dress down, and then we shut the bin so nobody could put anything in it! It seemed to me that most people didn't have a lot of carry on luggage b/c they were going on vacation and checked it all.

April Brides! Congrats to all who are on their way or already been down the aisle!

We leave in 6 days and I cannot wait!

Sorry to hear of the Drama tara - that stinks! Just focus on the good things and the better friends in life!

I am non-frequent poster, frequent reader, but I agree this board is so shhhh now, can't have anything to do with our wedding month, right?

Well, we are getting the final items for gift bags this weekend, sent our pre-travel letters and most people got them today, saying they loved them. We finished the programs this past weekend, except a few ribbons, ran out of the color. I just have my last list of beauty items to do... my eyebrows need to be waxed so bad, not even funny! Then we are off to Jamaica!

Hope the wedding month is going well for all and Happy Weddings!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
