tracy i am SO glad it sounds like your shoot went well!! hopefully your photog will send teasers so you can see!

can i just say that the court system blows? at least in our county!! there are always court dates to set more court dates! so NOW we have to wait until APRIL 8th!!!! nothing like waiting till the last minute!! on the bright side, the magistrate lectured her mom saying that she should reconsider because brianna (j's daughter) could end up being really resentful of her for not letting her ago, and that she would also learn more there than she would during the 5 days of school that she'd be missing! he told us to go ahead and get her passport, so we consider that a good sign. we're also going to book her trip and just get cancellation insurance, just so we're prepared!!

also, i got centerpiece pictures with my new flowers yesterday! these will go with a black table runner and a dozen votives. we only have 3 tables at dinner, so each one will get a different flower! the pink one won't look quite so smushed in the final product, but she wanted to show how pretty the color looked!

LOVE your centerpieces!!!!!! They look awesome! Makes me want to do some of my own...but I can't get into that! lol

My Opinion, Court sucks in every country!! lol, not a fan of it at all, mind you I haven't ever had to go!! and hopefully won't have to in the future!
I hope her mother definitely wises up and lets her go, this will be an amazing experience for her and she will resent her mother later for not letting her go, crossing my fingers and toes for you guys!! Good luck, and good job on the centerpieces!! They will look beautiful!

Oh Erin - I can't believe they're letting it go down to the wire like that....it sounds like the magistrate hit the ex with a little guilt about being resented - I really hope it will work out for you guys!

And the flowers look beautiful! I think I might do something like that for my AHR.

Erin,Your centerpieces are to die for, I will definitely be stealing your idea's for the AHR like Michele.

I am so sorry it has to be so late minute. I hope it works out for you guys and she'll be able to go. Like everyone said, the mother will be resented by the daughter... hopefully that'll change her mind. Keep us posted!! have my finger's crossed for the 3 of you.

Court sucks here too, sucks everyone!! hopefully you or anyone else wont have to deal with it again.

Ladies, thanks for all of your kind and supportive words about my dogâ€s situation. Itâ€s so nice to hear that others understand what Iâ€m feeling.

Meghan,

My dog did not appear too traumatized after the attack. I think I was more afraid to go back outside than she was. I let the doggie daycare staff know she had been attacked, so I am sure they will call me if she displays any aggressive behavior. She will probably have forgotten all about the incident after her two-week stay at the doggie daycare. They are literally outside all day (or in the inside play area) with other dogs except for naptime and bedtime when they are put in cages.

Suzy,

They donâ€t have webcams at the doggie daycare, but they do take you tube videos of them occasionally. Iâ€ll probably call them tomorrow to check up on my babies.

When I do finally have children, I know I will be super protective of them, seeing how I am with my dogs.

Tracy,

Glad to hear your BD session went well. I know you are so anxious to see the pictures!

I am with you… I would not believe the room issue was resolved until I had the revised invoice in my hands.

Erin,

I hope your future step-daughterâ€s mother comes around and realizes that she should let her daughter be involved in your wedding. The magistrate is right, her daughter could end up resenting her for it. My friend and her sonâ€s father are constantly in court over visitation issues. His father is always dragging my friend to court to complain about his child support payments or he thinks my friend needs to always put her son on a plane or drive him from Florida to Virginia so that he can visit with his son. He never makes an effort to travel from Virginia to Florida to see his son. Anyway, long story short, her son has become really resentful of his father the older he gets because itâ€s becoming apparent to him that this back and forth to court is more about “getting back†at his mother than actually trying to spend time with him.

By the way, your centerpieces are gorgeous!

I don't think I've ever posted pictures of my dogs, have I? Since we're on topic why don't I lighten things up with a few:

Atlas as a puppy with his big sister:

The two of them this past summer (he's filled out a bit more since then)

Erin, I'm so sorry they weren't able to resolve this! I hope her mother comes around before the last minute- I can't understand why she would object to this. I agree with the magistrate- she's setting herself up for some resentment with this behavior, plus she's being really selfish. I love your centerpieces, though. They look really pretty- I really like the vases.

Tracy- I'm so glad to hear it went well! I bet you can't wait to see the pics now! I knew you'd do great!

Aww... They are soo adorable. I don't think you've posted pics of them before. You're right, Atlas has filled out just a little bit.

Here is a pic of my dogs from this Christmas. I'm sure I have shared pics of my dogs before LOL! Kayla is the lab/doberman mix (on the right) and Sunny is the beagle mix (on the left).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
