What? ROR minister/judge not included? free package (w upgrades) questions

Recommended Posts

When I booked the wedding online, I chose the Royal package because I am not sure how many guests are attending yet (some have booked and some are waiting til the last minute) does anyone know if the package can be changed once we get there?

Thanks

Hey Mello78!

I am getting married at ROR on Oct 10 and my TA booked us for the CAPRICE package! I was NOT happy, as I wanted the free package if we hit the 5 room minimum. I called her and she said it was no problem at all to change it. So I am hoping it is as easy to change as she said! She also told me that I can do this once we got there and choose our upgrades etc... but I asked her to change it now b/c I wanted to be sure...

Hope this helps!

Im getting married ar ROR may 2010 and I actually have the name of the person who is in charge of the weddings. I was able to get her email from a front desk person when I was there in may. If anyone needs it send me a message, I know she is busy so I don't want to post her email over all these forums

Hello, I am getting married at the ROR in Jan, 2010 and I actually just recently had inquired about the free package and cost if over 20 people and Chandlyn the wedding coordinator e-mailed me saying i couldn't get the free package and just add on if i had more then 20 people, i have to then upgrade to a package that is suitable for the number of guests. So we are now getting the royal package b/c it accomodates up to 40 people. Hope that helps!

I booked a free wedding package for January 2010. They told me that it wasn't a problem even if we were more than 20 people. They said I just had to pay for the upgrades...Thank you for the info Kurz04!!

I got the same information as Josee, that we could book the free and we would just have to pay for the more than 20 people.

I am getting married at RMB in June 2010, we are doing the free package and I inquired about it since we will have about 30 people and here is the response I got back.

Dear Amber,

I kindly inform you that you may apply for a Free Wedding Package when you book 5 or more rooms at the wedding destination of your choice. There is no maximum amount of guests, as long as 80% of the guests stay at the same resort where you will celebrate your wedding. If you guests amount exceed the 10 guests, you will have an extra charge just for the Wine and Cake.

Looks like you just have to pay extra for the wine and cake.

Hmm...

They must then have mixed info there because I recall being told I would have to upgrade to the next applicable package. Well at least I will know to push for the paying the per-guest charge if I end up choosing RIU. Does anyone know what the per charge rate is?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
