Message/Sign for Guestbook table

Recommended Posts

For those of you that had a guestbook - did you have a sign, or a saying displayed on the table? We're thinking of having photo mattes (mats? whatever!) for people to sign and write on. if you did have something (or plan on it) - what did it say?

i picture a smallish frame just sitting by the photo matte with text, or something - just don't know what would be in it or what to say!

how fun - i think you're the one i am stealing the overall idea from! so you didn't have anything - but it all made sense to the guests, right?

Yeah, I think it was pretty self explanatory...Nicole had the table set up top before the guests went down the stairs to the beach, she laid out the mat with the colored pens and we had our bubble wands in a basket there as well. There were a couple of people that missed signing the mat, because they were so rushed when they arrived (due to the boat being late, and the sun setting quickly!) so I was able to have them sign it at the hotel the day after the wedding. It worked well!

just my two cents.. (since I have 8 more posts that I'm allowed to do today :-)

If you do the photo mat, just put a pin on the side, maybe ask someone (family member or close friend) to tell everyone to write something. In the center you can use one of those awesome E-pics Leigh took. BUT put blue tape or something around the edges of the mat where it would be covered by the frame so that you won't loose someone writing, once you put it in the frame. :-)

Very good idea Tammy! I didn't do that, and (omg, this is terrible) I haven't even looked at the mat since we got home from our trip, I've been so busy!, so I don't know if anyone signed too close to the edge or not - I hope not!

I have to get a picture for that mat and get it framed to display before our AHR!! I'm down to 30 days!! eeek! smile41.gif so much to do!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
