Wineries with a chapel/church? or near by? for non-denominational/protestant wedg.

Anyone know of a winery in Napa/Sonoma or along the coast of Northern Cali that has a chapel/church inside for the ceremony? Or, have a church nearby?

I've also heard of people making their own "mock" church by using a wall...has anyone seen this at a particular winery?

Thanks!

Caroline

Thanks, Stacey. Didn't realize that there will only be a few wineries that can hold a ceremony! Perhaps that will actually narrow down my search. My FH and I are most likely relocating to Bay area in the Fall and I thought it might give me a bit more control to have our wedding in the Northern Cali, but still have the feel of a destination wedding. Any winery that you might particularly recommend?

we had our ceremony in a church in Napa and then headed over to the Gaia hotel for our reception. I actually didn't do anything but have a wine tour the day after the wedding for some guests. So many of the wineries are beyond my budget for weddings.

Thanks, Christine! Would you mind sharing which church you used? Did you use a Wedding planer? How was Gaia hotel?

I was in a wedding in Northern California a few years ago. I sent my girlfriend an email to find out the name of the winery. We had the wedding and reception at the same venue. It was really beautiful! Her pictures were awesome! We were somewhere near Lodi I believe. When I get the name, I will be sure to share!

we were married at St. John's Lutheran in Napa. My grandmother is a member, they do allow non-member weddings there but they charge more and I believe you might have to have some pre wedding education.
My family pastor knew the pastors there and since my grandmother attends church there we were able to make it all work out for us.

As for the Gaia, we were their first wedding so it was chaotic, but the facilities are pretty great and since its a hotel we were able to get a great deal on the rooms and it made my parents feel better about people not drinking and driving. Our family is all with in driving distance but most people stayed at least one night which made for a really fun atmosphere.

The ballroom at the Gaia is huge and fit all our guests easily. I believe they have since opened their resturaunt and I have heard their spa is really great.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
