ROR Photographers!

Recommended Posts

So..I wanted my photos on my wedding day taken by Michael as I have heard so many good things about him. I got intouch with him and asked if i could book him personally, he asked me my details and said because i was having the 'royal package' and didnt want to buy the extra 200 odd photos, i couldnt have him! Im really gutted about this, as i really wanted him, Yes id buy the extra photos just so i could have Michael, but we dont have the money! He said i will have one of his colleagues to take them, does anybody know what his colleagues photography is like??

I'd appreciate any advice or photos anyone has had taken by them (not michaels work though)

Thanx Ladies! x

Hi!

Yes, Michael only does the really "big" packages - ie 200 pics or more - he also goes to Riu Montego Bay if there is a big package there and then his colleagues will do the Riu Ocho Rios weddings.

We had one of Michael's colleagues for the "pre-wedding" photos. At first I was really upset that Michael wouldnâ€t be joining us until the actual wedding…..but his colleague did a good job – we had him for ½ hour before the wedding and then him and Michael did the wedding (so they could get lots of shots from different angles). After the Ceremony we just had Michael but his colleague took pictures of our guests and these turned out beautiful. We did get the package of 200 pictures and we had almost 1000 to choose from!!

I am sure you wonâ€t be disappointed – all of the work at the Photo Shop is just great – and everyone is SUPER nice!

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Happy Planning!

Karen

I have read a few reviews where brides have booked a smaller package, assuming a photog other than Michael would be doing their pics. On their wedding day, Michael showed up and took their pics. I think they said he wasn't booked with any other wedding parties. So, that could end up happening for you as well!

I posted the price lists on this thread

We had one of Michaels assistants for our wedding and it was a surprise. We had been told we were getting Micheal but apparently there was a "mis-communication". Anyw'funay, we had Lincoln take our photos and they were very nice. They definately weren't as "fun" as Michael's (we got a photo shoot with Michael a few days after the wedding) and Michael is definately more of a real photographer than his assistant, but there pictures were still very nice. I would advise that if you know Michael isn't going to be your photographer, that you give your actual photographer some examples of fun photos that you would like to have. I simply asked mine to be spontaneous and creative and we got very nice photos...just not too creative.

good luck!! oh and if you want some examples of the difference between Lincoln's photos and Michael's photos just pm me with your email and I'll send some to you.

Hi karen

Your phtos are beautiful - you all look amazing. I wanted to ask you - did you do the free wedding package an upgrades - I know Michaels packages depend on what wedding package you did - do you get to bring home negatives

i am trying to decide what times to book him

what did you do?

Thanks again and good to know. He seems really good!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
