What's your groom wearing?

I agree with you Ann. A tux seems too formal and stuffy for a beach setting. A sharp black or charcoal suit can look very good for a beach wedding. I saw some photo sets with the groom wearing a black suit and it was almost enough to make me switch gears from the linen suit.

But, wearing what you want is a personal choice when it comes down to it. I like what I like, and others like what they like. It took me months of looking around until I found the suit that matched up to the vision I had in my head.

My fiance is wearing a linen suit that we found at Macy's. I believe a pic of it was posted earlier in this thread.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the Izod Outlet has some great DW clothes at a great price. My Dad and my FI both got 2 or 3 outfits for the week there.

Linen pants $19, Silk short sleeve button down shirts $15 (all colors, very nice)

This weekend they are having a sale. An additional 30% off all items including sale and clearance.

This is the email address that i get the coupons and sale alerts from -

enewsclub@pvh.com

i think i remember signing up in the store to receive emails from them....

Really? He wants to wear a suit and you don't want him too? Wow, I wish I had that problem. Just tell him it's going to be close to 100 the day of your wedding and that you don't want his suit to have wet arm pits stains for all your wedding pictures.. :-)

Shane is convinced he should wear a tux for his wedding. Im the one who doesn't care. I really like the tan suits but he said no. my other idea was the chocolate brown tux and he said no to that. oh well if he wants to sweat the little booty he has off oh well right?? LOL I think that it is totally up to you and your fiance. everyone has their opinions but its not everyones wedding. they had their say at their wedding it now its your turn. good luck with your decision!!!

  • 4 years later...

since my dress is so elegant it would look weird for my FI to just be in a shirt and pants. So I want him to wear tan coloured pants with a vest, a nice white long sleeved shirt, a tie and nice shoes. He wore a pinstrip suite with a vest for another occasion and the look was amazing. I'm hoping the tan colour will look just as good and he won't be too hot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
