Yikes! Yep...if I had seen that review beforehand, I obviously never would have booked him!
But hey...that's what I'm hoping this thread will do...let brides know what they're getting into if they decide to book with him...

It is also really nice to see all the people on the forum offering to help you out. I totally applaud them.
lol -- thanks for getting mad FOR me! But thank you...and yes, everyone on this forum is AMAZING and everyone has been so supportive and understanding...makes me want to smile03.gif everyone! :-)

I know this thread has been up for awhile, but somehow I just managed to stumble upon this.. I am SO sorry for the experience that you have had. No bride should EVER have to go through that and be greeted with pictures that give her so much disappointment from such an uplifting and naturally happy and beautiful day.. I am glad that you and your husband were able to get at least a few good shots, so all is not lost... but I wish you had a better experience, as I know ALL of us feel for you.

That being said, I cannot thank you enough for having the courage to post this on here. As I'm sure it may have been hard.. it really helps giving an honest review. Hopefully from this, his company will kick it in high gear and learn from their many mistakes..

I hope your DIY album turns out beautifully- your siggy? pic.. (whatever one is on the left) is gorgeous!

Thank you, thank you! I feel really guilty about loving your thread, because I am saddened you had to experience something so awful on your wedding day! I think your sense of humor throughout shows what kind of person you are, I laughed so hard at the where's waldo pics! It actually DID take me a minute to find you guys in that picture!! Rest assured he will NEVER get business from a bdw bride EVER again!

Love your attitude, and I hope you get an awesome flush mounted album you two deserve!

Thanks! I've had some amazing offers of help from members of this site and I've just been so freakin' busy with work lately (I HATE it when work gets in the way of BDW-ing! :-)) that I haven't had a chance to take up some of the kind offers... It's on my to-do list for sure -- and as soon as I have an update on the DIY album, I will post here! :-)

Haha! Yeah...what else can anyone do but laugh at this point -- it's THAT bad! Actually, Story By Photo (pro photogs Gino and Heather) kindly offered to edit some of the pics for me so hopefully we'll be able to find ourselves in some of the pics now:-) Again, as soon as I have time, I will hopefully be able to post some of the work they did! SO nice of them...

I am so sorry to hear of your horrible experience.

Thankfully I had a great photographer, but a lot of other things went wrong at my wedding (rain sad.gif, wedding planner messed up decorations, switched locations) and I know how upsetting it can be to have your dream for your wedding to get messed up..

I really hope they are able to fix some of your photos (what great people to offer that for you :)). If you want to work on your other pictures, see if you can find someone with photoshop or lightroom you can borrow - I've also used picasa (which is free to download - and also a great site to share pictures b/c anyone you share pictures with can download high-res pictures) - I've used the "feeling lucky" button and it really does a lot to fix the brightness/contrast - that alone might help a lot.

For printing albums, I've done photobooks on shutterfly and they came out great. I've read reviews about viovio.com being better and it is cheaper, but I've never used them myself..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
