Congrats and welcome!

 

If you want a gorgeous, stunning and private venue for your wedding, you should definitely check out this place: Cuixmala

 

It is a 5 star resort, and is located on the Pacific coast of Mexico (south of Puerto Vallarta). I photographed a wedding there, and was really impressed with the venue, the staff, and the stunning beauty of the place! On my website there is a gallery of images from that wedding, and I think that will give you a better idea of what the place looks like.

When I first started planning, I was overwhelmed also - especially concerning the extra costs not included in the packages. Does your sister have any resorts in mind? Has she looked at any resorts online? Has she been to any of the locations to get an idea of what is available?

A lot of the resorts will send you packets with information about their wedding packages and what is and isn't included if you check their websites. You could always compare side by side that way!

I have been looking at the RIU resorts and really liked them. Dreams also has a "complimentary" wedding package.

Anyway, good luck with the search.

liujessicam, you actually gave me some great information as I have looked at these places also as possible sites!

Welcome! What a nice sister you are! My fiance is from Calgary originally so we had a large portion of our guests travel from Calgary. One thing we did notice was that, because there are less all-inclusive packages, the prices tend to be much higher to some places then toronto (ours ended up being a 300 difference for Toronto and Calgary departures Per Person!) Maybe speak to a TA when you are trying to narrow it down for cost..

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
