I was in the same boat as Jenamie. I said i didn't like round diamonds. FI ended up going to store every day for a month to stare at 2 rings - one i said i liked from a magazine ad, and the other that was not so nice in pictures but beautiful in person. He ended up going with his gut feeling and chose the one with the round diamond. I love it! I love it even more for the fact that he put so much heart and thought into it.

I think its stunning. I'm not a fan of oval diamonds either, but that ring has so much elegance and uniqueness I still love it! Here's what I think though- your (future) FI will love ANY ring you give her because it came from your heart. You obviously put a lot of thought into it so that will make her love it even more.
