Sorry, Torilynnsmith...sugar starfish is a type of natural starfish. They're not made of edible sugar :-(

Hey, anyone else out there with a bald groom? The custom designed toppers are a bit pricey, and the only bald man I can find is this one from the interchangable selection (link below)....not sure if I like it though.

Any suggestions of other items you may have seen?

Are you dead set on having a bride and groom on your cake?  We are thinking flowers or shells as I am not big on the bride and groom cake topper!  If you are set on having that though why not check out etsy as I am sure a seller could design a topper for you!!!!

Have you checked out Ebay? They have tons of cake toppers, including bald grooms. I'm not sure what your groom looks like, but check out this link. If it doesn't work, just go to Ebay and type in "bald groom cake topper". Good luck!

S/H).  So it was pricey, but I certainly plan on displaying it after the wedding, maybe next to our sand ceremony frame.  I sent the manufacturer pictures of myself, my fiance, the dog, my dress, his outfit, my hair flower, my desired bouquet, and my hair inspiration pic.  I hope he loves it....

I used mudcards on Etsy, surprise, surprise. Originally, I wasn't looking for mini-me's but I at least wanted the hair colour to be correct. This one will be custom made, I sent her pics of us, and one of my dress. check it out!

Here is the link for the item on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/personalizd-Custom-wedding-Cake-Topper-figurine-gift-/170489624914?_trksid=p3286.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D9098263052822027342

Before you will be able to buy the item, you will need to set up an ebay account by going to this link and hitting the register button:

https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn

The seller will send you an invoice via Paypal to pay for the item (I think these days you might not even have to sign up for a Paypal account to use that system to pay by credit card).  You will be notified of the invoice via email.

The steps I took to order:

1.  I put together the pictures that I wanted to artist to use to generate the cake topper.  It was tough for me because it wasa surprise for my fiance so I had to send a lot of separate pictures.

2.  I emailed the artist (using the email address in the ebay listing) to ask if he could make a good figurine using those pictures.  I also asked how I would go about paying the extra $10 for the dog via ebay.  He wrote back and said the pictures were fine and that once I had bought the item on ebay (but that I should not pay right away) he would send me an invoice for the proper amount.

3.  While he was making the figurine he would send me pictures to make sure I liked things:  the bodies/clothes, the faces, the faces w/ hair.

Hope that helps!

If you want to see how closely he matches faces, check out my fiance and I in our engagement pictures (link in the signature of this message).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
