havianas vs. party flops

Recommended Posts

havaianas does a discount for any order for events. I haven't heard how much, but I've found havainas much cheaper at swim outlet.

I was thinking if party flops were like havainas I would get them, i think personalization is cute, but not dying to have it cause I don't want our names on them. But if they were comfy like havainas then I would get them for price. I was afraid Joe might freak out at the price of havainas. But when he came home I told him and he though havainas were a good idea. We figure when I want flip flops I go to old navy and grab a pair so they seem so regular, and if I got them at a wedding i'd be ok w/ it no complaints, but nothing like getting a pair of havainas!

Full price for havainas for us was going to be around $375, but I found them at swim outlet and they'd only cost us around $260. And we're getting a couple pairs for kids and 3 pairs for babies.

Ya I'm just doing regular i think. My email to havaianas came back at 2 am saying it was delayed so I'm still waiting on them.

I don't want our names on them. I just don't like the idea of giving, mugs, koozies, flip flops w/ our names on them. Something weird just my personal opinion cause I'd rather received a gift w/ the location of where we went than someones names on them.

this is the pair I think I'm going to get so they aren't so plain jane. Our colors are blue and pink but some people would rather have pink and some would rather have blue and I don't want to ask everyone cause I want it to be a surprise and not have them knowing their getting flip flops. And brown can go w/ almost anything

I also agree with the name thing cause after the wedding people probably wouldn't use them anymore. I love those flops, great choice! I can't wait to see the review of your wedding b/c you have been so thoughtful and creative with your planning :)

Oh my gosh you're sooo sweet! I'm just sittin in the car waiting for Joe (we're going to the lakehouse). I'm actually working on putting my planning thread in word while we're driving, there is sooo much stuff I need to get it all down so i don't forget anything in the next couple months!

I can see maybe personalizing cheaper flip flops w/ your names, but I would definitely not do it for havainas. I'm pretty sure not one of our guests have ever had havaianas and I'm sure the first pair they get they don't want Joseph & Jacilyn all over them! HA!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
