Anyone used photographer Marcia Roberts before?

Sunstar.. I have said the same thing.. My fiancee and I have both been married before and we chose and "easy destination wedding" but its beginning to feel like the easy destination wedding has become more stressful than a wedding at home.

I'm glad it's going to work out for you guys.  I can relate to the stress... I had an email saying I needed to book a room the day after I got to Jamaica and I freaked out (as did my now hubby... he was ready to just go with the resort photog) but since it wasn't discussed before hand Marcia agreed to pay for it.  I am so happy that we did use her it was amazing!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

We just used Marcia for our DW at CTI.  She and Christopher were great to work with.  She could not book 1 night at Couples, as Couples has a 3 night minimum (we both looked into this).  So we had to get the $500 vendor fee.

I was wondering to those that have used her how long did you wait for your cd's to arrive?

Oh no that is not good.  I have been waiting for her reply about booking 1 room. So that makes sense why I have not heard from her.  What time was your ceremony?  I am getting married at CSS in July.   did you do a TTD session with her as well.

Hi Ladies,

I met a very talented photographer when I was in Jamaica a few weeks ago. He's work is amazing and he is willing to customize his packages to suit your needs. I'm doing 8 hours for my wedding day and 2 hours for my TTD, he also includes a print credit to go towards an album or large prints.

Check out his website and let me know what you think.

We got married at 11am.  If we were to do it again, I would choose 4pm, and DH would choose 10am.  He did not like waiting.  Since our day was VERY windy, and big waves, there was also cloudy periods, thus not guaranteeing the beautiful blue waters.  No TTD.  We used her and Christopher for about 2 hours.  It was just the 2 of us.  I am working on a report.

Heaterfan15  -  There are not many brides on here that have got married at Couples. I just checked Marcia site but your pics are not up.  She does such great work.  There are 12 of us going so far, I don't expect many more to book.  I got an amazing deal thru AirCanadaVacations. for a group rate.

I am going to email Marcia today so I can finalize my day. I was really hoping to have her come back the next day for TTD but Debbie says that the charge for that is full day pass, so now its not 500.00 for the vendors fee but 700.00 plus the cost of a hotel room somewhere for Marcia and her assistant. Way Way out of budget for me.  I guess I am going to have to do some thinking about the events of the day.  We are getting married at 10 a.m. cocktail hour after that and I am in the process of renting a catamaran (CSS does not offer the free one the other couples have) for the afternoon.

So somewhere I know have to figure out when to do the TTD?  I want to fully enjoy my cocktail hour since I am spending the money on horsdouvers, and a steel drum band.

thanks for the heads up on Marcia not being able to book 1 nite either.

sunstarsmoon, have you considered haveing Marica taking you off-site for the TTD?  She will be doing this for me.  Just ask her about it and see what she says.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
