UGH...so confused

Recommended Posts

Hey girls!... I'm so confused right now... I thought I found the most awesome resort for the price and location for my wedding.

I was looking into the Gran Caribe Real.. and booking a Gran Master Suite so I qualify for the free wedding which is just the basics.

The Free Wedding Package includes:

• Professional services of an onsite Wedding Specialist

• Special decoration of the coupleâ€s suite with rose petals

• Marriage ceremony performed by a Non-Denominational Christian Minister or Justice of the Peace

• Witnesses (if required)

• Decorated oceanfront wedding gazebo or beachfront location

• Sound system for the ceremony (bring your favorite music on CDâ€s, iPod or MP3)

• Champagne toast after the ceremony

• Real Resortâ€s Signature Royal wedding cake for two

• Late check-out for the couple up to 6 P.M. (subject to availability)

I do have some guests coming anywhere from 10-20maxx... who I want to witness this amazing day..

Anyway I just spoke to the wedding cordinator who was extremely rude! She kept cutting me off, being negative, kept twisting stuff around etc.. Im extremely upset!...

AND for my family to watch I have to pay 5$ each just to watch the cermony..huh.gif like wth? and another 10$ for a private cocktail for 1 hr on top of that....

LADIES... I NEED HELP... SHOULD I FIND SOME WHERE ELSE TO BOOK OR.... i DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO..

Who did you speak with at the Gran Caribe? I've been dealing with them and have had no problems at all. It's a beautiful resort and the Royal next door is amazing!!

I've been there twice already and going back again in a few weeks. If you want me to get any info or take any pics just let me know.

Also not sure if your catholic or not but they just opened a beautiful chapel in the Gran Caribe. I have pics of it decorated that the resort WC sent me. Let me know if your interested in seeing them.

We originally had our wedding scheduled in Cancun at the Casa Magna Marriott (not all-inclusive); all of their WC are awesome (they have a team that works between Casa Magna & JW Marriott, which is next door.) We were actually going to stay at an all inclusive, but have the wedding/reception at the Casa Magna. Unfortunately, due to the swine flu, all our plans were in vain (but hey we got to get married in Maui, so not too shabby.) The grounds at both JW & Casa Magna are beautiful & like I said the WC staff is amazing. Good luck!!

Ive just taken a look at the chapel it looks beautiful.I would however go to someone higher in the company.Iwould say i am a bride already booked that you wernt happy to give your name but you have serious issues with her attitude. That you had given her the benefit of doubt as far as her having an off day.Rather than being accomodating she has offered you another wedding coordinator.Of course by the time your wedding arrives she may not be there anyway. If she is just tip everyone around her leaving her out!!!!! Your wedding will be wonderful even with the not so pleasent coordinator.x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
