I love his dresses too! I was considering his 'monet' dress (another bride-opice- wore it for her wedding) but then got a nicole miller. Very pretty, I say get it :)

It's a beautiful dress and like everyone else has said...knowing what you want and having to settle for something less will be such a disappointment! If there's a way to work it into your budget then I say go for it.

Ok, you've done me in! I made an appointment to go try on his dresses while I visit my Dad next week. I'll be sure to take a couple of pictures!
          Love is in the air!

That dress is stunning, I can see why you are in love with it. If you have tried it on and you think its the one, I say, if you can swing it, you should totally have it. I think you would be able to re-sell it as well after, as long as you work at selling it. Its a gorgeous dress.

I say GO FOR IT! And you know what's another sign that it's YOUR Perfect Dress: You resemble the model in the pic wearing it!

I agree that you should look into finding trunk shows in your area or maybe offer to pay a few hundred towards getting the dress of your DREAMS! Good luck!

                  1. Send the seller of the used dress and see if she can provide more details/pictures.
                  2. If you prefer to have a new one, check with the salons to see if they have any upcoming trunk shows that offer a 10% - 15% discount.
                  3. Contact the salons to see if they are willing to sell you a sample at 40% discount.

Hope this helps! I know the feeling of really wanting the one you are in love with.
Great tips!! Thanks!! There's a trunk show at the boutique where they have THE DRESS, but it's in September So sad, because not only would it be 15% off, but I'd also have the opportunity to meet Mr. Matthew Christopher himself! He goes to all his trunk shows and meets all his brides. But my wedding is in January, so I'd be cutting it seriously close! Oh well. He has earlier ones in NY which is about an hour drive...it'd be well worth it! I'll have to check it all out :) I'm so excited!!

Budget was never in my vocabulary also! Until last year when FI and I started to save for our down payment for our house! Our spending habits did a 180...and now there's mortgage and bills! Although I splurge on things I love...just not as often Oh well, we have a roof over our heads, lol.
